Listening, Learning and Acting – Our Baseline Survey is Complete! 📊
At Eco Hub Foundation, we believe that real change starts with listening to the people we serve. From 15th to 17th August 2025, we conducted a baseline survey in rural Hubli–Dharwad, Karnataka, to better understand menstrual health challenges — not only in terms of access to sanitary products but also awareness around natural remedies, nutrition, and healthy lifestyle habits that support menstrual well-being.
We aim to go beyond providing sanitary pads by addressing the holistic needs of young girls. Our survey findings will help us create programs that combine education, eco-friendly products, nutritional guidance, and natural ways to manage period pain — all tailored to local realities.
✅ Survey covered:
✔ Girls aged 10–19 and their caregivers
✔ Menstrual hygiene practices, myths, diet, and lifestyle habits
Some key findings:
• Many girls lack access to affordable and safe sanitary products
• Awareness around nutrition and natural pain relief methods is limited
• Stigma and misinformation affect confidence and well-being
This survey is helping shape Project AASHRITHA, our CSR initiative focused on menstrual health education and sustainable solutions.
A special thanks to the Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement, Dharwad team and Savitha ma’am, CEO of Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement, for their incredible support and collaboration throughout this effort!
Together, we can empower girls to lead healthier, more confident lives.
