What an incredible Sunday. Our World Storytelling Day celebration at Attagalatta was a vivid reminder that even in the deepest dark, there is always a flicker of light waiting to be found.
To everyone who filled the room with their presence, energy, and listening ears—Thank You. You are the heartbeat of the Bangalore Storytelling Society, and seeing the community show up to encourage one another was the true magic of the day.
A Special Shout-out to Our Extraordinary Tellers:
• Pooja Sagar: For opening our hearts with a folk tale brimming with hope and love. You reminded us how sharing a story is, in itself, an act of reflection and bonding.
• Neha Dinesh: For the poignant rendition of Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes. Through your voice, we felt the resilience of the human spirit and the quiet power of a thousand paper prayers.
• Ayushi Agrawal: For taking us on a sensory journey with Maya. Your blend of movement, sound, and visual art transformed the darkness into a beautiful, interactive exploration of expression.
• Priya Muthukumar: For bringing the story of the "Band-Aid" to life with such flair. Your props and costumes reminded us that even the simplest inventions have a story worth celebrating.
Whether it was a story about choosing light when the world feels heavy or finding hope in a piece of folded paper, Sunday was a testament to the power of the spoken word.
*Our Promise to You*
At BSS, we believe stories are the threads that bind us together. We promise to continue creating these spaces and organizing community events that celebrate the art of oral tradition.
Stay tuned for more magic. Until next time, keep the stories alive!
With gratitude,
TEAM BSS.
