the working principle of a hydraulic ram pump, a self-powered water pumping system that uses the energy of flowing water. Water is sourced from a spring intake and flows through a large pipe to the pump, where pressure builds up. The pump uses a check valve to release excess water, allowing only about 10% of the water to be delivered through a thin pipe to a storage tank at a higher elevation. The remaining 90% is expelled as waste water, but this process enables continuous water transport without external energy. The stored water can then be used for household needs, irrigation, or livestock. This system is particularly useful in remote areas where electricity or fuel-powered pumps are not viable. Its efficiency depends on the elevation drop and the available water flow rate.
