Open to everyone and welcoming movers of all backgrounds and experience levels. Rooted in improvisation, this session offers a space to explore movement through curiosity rather than technique, making it accessible to both beginners and experienced dancers.

Whether you’re looking to keep your practice alive, reconnect with your body, or simply spend a Sunday dancing with a thoughtful community, this is an opportunity to move, observe, and exchange.

ARCHITECT OF SELF DESTRUCTION
A contemporary dance performance exploring exhaustion, resilience, and the limits of physical and mental endurance.
Architect of Self Destruction explores how moments of depletion can lead to transformation. Inspired by Eastern philosophy, the work sees destruction not as an end, but as a process through which renewal becomes possible.
Through movement, repetition, endurance, and risk, the performers navigate vulnerability, adaptation, and change, revealing how transformation can emerge from collapse.

Open Call | September Studio Residency

1–30 September 2026
Bangalore, India

The Play Practice Artists Residency (PPAR), led by Abhilash Ningappa, invites artists to apply for a one-month residency focused on artistic research, creation, and collaboration.

Artists may apply with an individual project or together with one or two collaborators to develop new work and conclude the residency with an informal presentation or work-in-progress sharing.

The residency includes:
• 4–6 hours of studio access each day
• Accommodation for artists and collaborators
• Artistic guidance throughout the residency
• Opportunities to connect with local artists and collaborators

To support independent artists, the residency is offered at a reasonable participation fee, making it an accessible opportunity for focused artistic practice.

We welcome applications from artists working in dance, choreography, performance, and interdisciplinary performing arts who are interested in deepening their practice through research, experimentation, and exchange.
