IET India is a professional society for engineers and a diverse home for engineering and technology. The IET is a professional body for engineers.

We are over a 149 years young and we are working to engineer a better world. We have over a 167,000 members in over 150 countries around the world. The IET office started operations in India in 2006, in Bangalore. Today, we have over 13,000 members in India- the largest membership base for the IET outside of the UK. Our mission is to inspire, inform and influence the global engineering community,

supporting technology innovation to meet the needs of the society. Our strategy is to play a influencing role and make a meaningful impact on the overall skill and competency levels within the Indian engineering community. Our areas of focus include: emerging technology (Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Blockchain, etc), Future of education and skills and Future of Mobility and Transport (Freight, Logistics, Urban and Rural Mobility)
