PG care foundation or Pediatric and Geriatric care foundation was founded by a group of like minded individuals with genuine concern for fellow human beings in August 2013 with the aim of free health care to needy children with treatable medical conditions and with a future goal to include care of the elderly. What started as a dream of a few college boys way back in the nineties has finally fruct

ified into this foundation. It's a non government organization (NGO) registered as a trust in Mangalore, India




All the donations to our NGO are exempted from income tax under U/S 80G of the Income Tax Act 1984. The conditions that we support, but not limited to are

Treatable cancers

Chemotherapy

Fractures and trauma

Prematurity

ICU care

Infections

Malnutrition/dehydration

Kidney transplant for CKD V FSGS ( Focal Segmental Glomerulo Sclerosis) with CoQ88 mutation.

Mother is the kidney donor

Patient name Sanjay , 11y / Male from Tiruvallur. He was on multiple antihypertensives. Renal transplant was planned and was on regular dialysis. He developed spontaneous hemothorax in mid April possibly dialysis induced and hypertensive, needing ICD and blood transfusion with vats planned.

Parents are from poor aocio economic background. Father is taxi driver earning around 30,000 Rs per month.

Total funds needed for kidney transplant was 14 lakh rupees. Rainbow hospital gave a discount of 2 lakh rupees. Ola taxi association collected around 1 lakh rupees, doctors and staff from Rainbow hospital donated around 1 lakh rupees . From crowd funding platform Milaap also some funds were collected.
The case was referred to pgcare foundation for the support.
Kidney transplant was done on 11 May 2026 and at present the boy is in the hospital for the postoperative care.

Post kidney care includes continuous planned medication and investigations which need the financial support.

The case was discussed at the PG care foundation decision group. PGCARE foundation will be supporting Rs 70,000 (800 USD) towards the treatment costs.

Thanks everyone for the support to PG care Foundation since 2013. PG care Foundation has supported treatment of 187 children since 2013.

Funding for extreme prematurity

Baby of Thilagavathi and Azhagarnesan, 1.5 months old baby boy , was admitted on 07.04.26 in SPMCH NICU with acute cardiopulmonary failure and multi organ dysfunction, diagnosed with methemoglobinemia, treated for the same and then recovered gradually.

Currently the baby is on special feeds (amino acid fornula feed - Neocate) due to secondary lactose intolerance which he is tolerating well. As on 23.04.26, baby is stable without any respiratory support, on paladai formula feeds and gradualy gaining weight. Next plan is to perform MRI Brain, genetic testing to look for the causes of methemoglobinemia, hearing screening and developmentally supportive care in the followup.
The hospital expenses details are as follows
Total bill: Rs.1,50,015
Paid: Rs.93,990
Pending: Rs.56,025

The parents do small jobs and are needy.
From PGCAREFOUNDATION , we spoke with Bhuvaneshika who’s the patient care coordinator and found that the details are authentic.

Follow up on Case # 185
PG Care Foundation
Premature twins of Divya and Vinod will be discharged tomorrow from St Peter’s medical college and research hospital, Hosur Bangalore after being in NICU and Paediatric department for almost 55 days.

PG care helped 40,000 Rs towards the massive bills accumulated.

They still need to pay nearly 2,00,000 Rs ( 2 lakh rupees/ 2100 USD)

PG care Foundation is committed to help more funds to her. We are planning to pay 40,000 Rs more towards the hospital bills.

Mother house wife ( discontinued diploma in nursing due to financial constraints)
Twins were born prematurely on 2 March 2026 with the low birth weight of 815 and 895 grams and extreme prematurity, twin II had premature lungs in addition.

Babies are still at the NICU of the hospital.

The family is in need of funds. They have collected only 30,000 Rs till now.
They have paid bills of around 7,00,000 Rs by selling the jewelry of the grandmother.

The case was forwarded by Child Health Foundation and Dr Sharath from PG Care Foundation.

The decision group of Pgcare Foundation decided to support the case.

We supported our little contribution of 40,000 Rs ( 450 USD) to the hospital.

Happy to hear that babies are doing well.

PG Care Foundation case # 184

The case sent by Ms Archana PG care Foundation member. Gopi is a 18 years male who has a rare type of OI ( Osteogenesis Imperfecta) and needs surgery for both his arms and is being treated at Amara Hospital, Tirupati by Dr Vrisha Madhuri ( Pediatric orthopedician).
The family hails from Pondicherry and financially they're not good. The child's father is no more. Surgery costing Rs 90,000/-
The case was discussed at the pg care foundation decision group and we decided to support Rs 50,000 (600 USD) for the treatment.

Immunotherapy Anti GD2 Dinutuximab ( for 16 vials it costs subsidized amount of 80 lakh rupees; but the family got it for 70 lakhs from the reserve of another patient who unfortunately died while the treatment was going on)
This treatment was started on February 23.
2) PG care Foundation coordinated with the family and doctors
3) Relevant documents collected
4) The boys uncle ( father’s brother) Karthi met PG care Foundation members and discussed ( pic)
5) PG care members including Harry Chandi attended this meeting in Galaxy club Orion mall on 25 January 2026
6) Indian Cayman community collected 1.65 lakh rupees from the members
7) A total of 2.65 lakhs rupees ( 1.65 lakhs from Indian Cayman community + 1 lakh from pgcare Foundation corpus funds) was directly sent to CMC Vellore on Feb 9 , 2026.

Support Extended for Anusha’s Treatment

PGCAREFOUNDATION is honored to have been able to assist Anusha, a 17-year-old student from near Ambur, Vellore, who recently suffered multiple injuries in a motorbike accident. In light of her medical needs and the financial challenges faced by her family, we have provided support amounting to ₹70,000 towards her treatment at CMC Vellore.

We remain steadfast in our mission to offer compassionate aid to those in need and are grateful for the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in Anusha’s recovery journey.
