📢 Important Announcement for All Meat Traders!

In light of the recent GST notices issued to several meat merchant vendors, a delegation under the leadership of M. Ilyas Qureshi, manager of Masjid-e-Azam and Masjid Moazzam, attended the official GST clarification meeting organized by the Karnataka Commercial Taxes Department on 30th July 2025.

We are pleased to inform you that the officials clearly stated:

✅ Fresh meat is GST-exempt (0%)
✅ No GST is applicable for traders dealing only in exempt goods with an annual turnover below ₹40 lakh
✅ Notices issued based on UPI transactions or personal payments were being misinterpreted, and corrective steps are being taken

The session was extremely beneficial. Many meat traders who had received confusing or unjust GST notices were relieved to get clarity and assurance from the department.

We thank our leaders for representing the community and guiding everyone through this matter. We urge all vendors to stay updated, united, and legally informed.

📍 Belgaum, Karnataka – Community Meeting Update

We held an important meeting in Belgaum district, Karnataka, regarding the self-imposed ban on the meat business by our brothers in Maharashtra as a mark of protest against growing harassment and attacks by cow vigilantes.

💬 We discussed how Karnataka's Qureshi community can support them in this difficult time. Unity and sacrifice are the foundation of our strength. We stand in full solidarity with our Maharashtra brothers and will coordinate all necessary support, both morally and practically.

🤝 Let us not just express sympathy — let us take meaningful action.

✊ Together, we are stronger.
