The Forward Foundation The Forward Foundation was started by a group of like-minded individuals who wanted to bring about holistic transformation through active citizen engagement.

In the year 2013, a group of people realized that despite being highly individualistic and coming from diversified background and experience, they shared a common vision to make a real difference to the society and bring some tangible impact on the lives of many people whom we touch on a

daily basis and drive a change. Through some thought provoking ideas and relentless discussions, the idea of forming a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) cropped in that would address pressing issues that a common man face on a day to day basis and provide a logical solution to address these concerns. The thought that sprang in our minds took shape on the 23rd September 2013 as “The Forward Foundation (TFF)” was born. Its mission is vividly captured in our logo as our objective is to provide a sustainable solution by bringing in Growth and Development, which will enhance the way we live our lives as we start touching different people/issues. TFF works in the field Promoting Alternate Energy Solutions to conserve water, power and Solid Waste Management, Organic Farming, Influencing Rural & Urban Governance Issues, Instituting PIL’s, Promote Value based education and provide free legal assistance to the needy. What We Do:
We work on conceptualizing long lasting strategies, enhance the existing facilities and drive change that is tangible and bring in a positive change to the society we live in. We believe it is imperative to bring in change from the grass-root level by creating awareness in individuals, families and the society we live by conducting rigorous campaigning, support, mobilizing resources and successfully providing results in a collaborative way by having some dedicated partnerships with like-minded individuals, corporations, government bodies and global support to achieve our vision.

Despite growing awareness around clean energy, renewable power adoption in school infrastructure remains limited.

Through Sun to School, The Forward Foundation supports schools in adopting reliable solar power systems designed around their specific energy needs. From generation and monitoring to safe distribution and grounding, this integrated model enables schools to transition towards renewable energy while reducing dependence on conventional power sources.

This approach supports sustainable infrastructure and long-term environmental responsibility in education spaces.

🌳Together, We Planted the Future. 🌳

On 15th November 2025, we had the joy of planting 200 native saplings with the support of 40 enthusiastic Amadeus volunteers — each one contributing their time, passion, and energy towards creating a greener and healthier future. This initiative is especially important in areas like DRDO Township, where eucalyptus trees have been widely planted over the years. While fast-growing, eucalyptus often depletes groundwater and supports far less biodiversity. Recognizing this gap and the declining presence of native species across Bengaluru — The Forward Foundation, with generous support from Amadeus, stepped in to restore ecological balance through native plantation.

Our effort is dedicated to Salumarada Thimakka, whose inspiring legacy shows how one person’s commitment can transform entire landscapes. Her life’s work continues to motivate us to plant more, nurture more, and rebuild Bengaluru’s green cover with species that truly belong here.

On 15th October 2025, we at The Forward Foundation organized a paper bag–making activity where employees from Allstate India joined hands with us to promote sustainability.

💪 Together, we made 857 eco-friendly paper bags, which were later distributed to street vendors as a step towards reducing plastic use and encouraging greener choices.

Planting Roots of Change at Hingangoan, Pune 🌱

As part of the Allstate India Green Cover Project 2025-26, supported by Allstate India, The Forward Foundation organized a large-scale plantation drive on 10th September 2025 at Hingangoan, Pune.

On this day, we had the joy of planting 1,500 native saplings—trees that truly belong to the soil, thrive in it, and sustain biodiversity—an impactful initiative powered by the collective energy of 347 passionate volunteers, including employees of Allstate India, local community members, and school children, all coming together to connect with the soil, with nature, and with each other.

At The Forward Foundation, we believe that when corporates, communities, and NGOs unite, they create ripples of meaningful change—moving us closer to a greener and healthier future. On 23rd August, The Forward Foundation, in partnership with Allstate India, transformed Shindavane Ghat, Pune into a beacon of and hope.

This wasn’t just a plantation drive — it was a living example of what happens when communities, corporates, NGOs, and governments unite for the planet.
