Dharthi is an NGO working on the front of Environment, Forests, Communities and Tourism (EFCT); and making efforts for capacity building to bring about qualitative inputs that will help in planning and strategizing for a sustainable framework. The focus areas include Policy, Research and Advocacy, Ecotourism Consulting, Responsible Tours, EIA, Environment Education and Rural Livelihoods. We have
worked with the Forest Department of Karnataka, the Karnataka Eco tourism Board, the Zoo Authority of Karnataka, the Government School System in the Areas of Human Wildlife Conflict (HWC), with various Private Players and stakeholders who have an interest in the Ecology and Environment paradigm. We have even supported the Government and Private Stakeholders in the nuances of Interpretation Centers, which have gone a long way to focus on the facets of Education. We have even worked with a few corporates on the various aspects of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and brought a qualitative understanding to the regime which is evolving.
