The month of February was phenomenal for Wordly-Wise Toastmasters Club.
We imbibed the theme of love for the month for all our weekly meetings.
We invented lot of firsts in the history of Wordly-Wise Toastmasters Club.
Week 1: Significance of Self Love – This was a week where the ExCom introduced the theme of the month for the first time in Wordly-Wise history. We were anxious whether we would pull off this for all the weekly meetings. Like they say, where there is a will, there is a way. We had a good turnout of performances and people. Self-love was the reminder given to all through this meeting by TM Kshama.
Week 2: A 5-way Linkers Meet from Area H2, District 92 – Lets High Five
Week2 was again a history-making event in Wordly-Wise diaries. 5 clubs (Wordly-Wise Toastmasters Club, Where is the Mic Toastmasters Club, NT India Manyata Toastmasters Club, Cerner India Toastmasters Club, AnchorEd Toastmasters Club, from Area 02 from Division H of District 92 came together to put up an exciting show on Feb 11th. Kudos to all the VP Education team of 5 clubs for dynamically making some of the decisions that was needed for great collaboration. The turnout of people for the event was 45+. 5 exciting posters were launched at 5:55 PM for 5 days as part of the Public Relations and effective communication. Kudos to the event chair TM Shamini and her PR team of TM Megalai and VPE Team TM Sphoorthi who led the event behind the scenes. A 5-way collaboration was a dream come true.
Week 3: Love for Poetry – An album of Poems
A dual compering was put in the agenda with recitation of Poems in the anchoring by TM Shamini & TM Sherley. Again, a first-time experiment which was loved by audience.
Week 4: Love for Singing – Jhoom to Namma Tunes
Singing is an extension of Speaking. Our Toastmasters demonstrated this whole-heartedly as we expressed ourselves via music on 25th Feb as a musical finale to Feb month of love themed meetings. A wonderful amalgamation of speech and song , mind and heart , quote to note in our Table Topics and finally a musical general evaluation to end this "Dil Maange More" session – a musical afternoon completely led by TM Spoorthi and TM Prashanth
Each week was fun to its core. For more joyous meetings, join us every week on Friday from 12 to 1:30 PM and we post our invites here.
One of the excerpts from TM Prashanth Rajarao’s collection is as below:
Strange are the ways of Divine
Strange are the ways of divine
Some see it, some just whine
Sometimes we feel we are in problems
But HE has solved them, is what I learnt
Purposefully , He will make you go through problems
As for making any good steel , it has to be initially burnt
Sometimes , we feel we are alone
Near and dear ones are far away
Who is there nearby to talk to and play
But, what joy, when you meet after a long time.
So, in separation, there is a seed of joy
In uniting, there is a seed of sorrow
Once we understand this duality
Our life becomes much better tomorrow.
Strange are the ways of divine
Accepting Life as it is, is the name of the game
