Uthishta

Uthishta Uthishta is a social service and charitable trust formed in the year 2013. Also, we conduct programs to promote spiritual and cultural heritage of India.

We primarily aims to serve people who have been socially and economically marginalized, by reaching out to them with programs to foster self-reliance and independence. The name of the organization is inspired by Swami Vivekananda and his thought ““Service to the humanity is the highest form of worship”. Our mission is to spread his message to all the people around us. Inspired by Swamijis thought Uthishta conducts various programs:

• Sponsor a Child Program - Assistance to under privileged students for education (108 Students are supported in the current year. This includes lower primary education to higher education courses)
• School kit distribution in Bangalore slum areas. Cover around 200 plus kids every year.
• Abhayam – The housing project for the poor. Target to complete at least one house in a year. At present, we are constructing the second house.
• Aveksha – Monthly medical camps in slum areas of Bangalore with the support of New India Insurance company. Uthista is working as a CSR partner for New India Insurance Company.
• Deliver health services and emergency medical help to most vulnerable, including women, children and marginalized people .
• Provide support for patients who visit Sri Sathya Sai baba Hospital, NIMHANS, Jayadeva institute of Cardiology, etc
• Provide relief to people affected with calamities
• Empowering communities and individuals through sustained support
• Conduct programs that promote cultural and moral value in the society.
• PROMOTE social service organizations working in the rural India by recognizing them with UTHISHTA SEVA PURASKAR and a cash award of Rs 1 Lac, every year. Upcoming projects:
• A Short Stay home for patients visiting good hospitals in Bangalore from faraway places. We need support from everyone to accomplish this task. All your financial contributions can get exemptions under 80G of Income tax act. Uthishta organised a comprehensive medical camp benefiting 250+ students from Government Higher Primary School, Vimanapura, and two nearby government schools. The camp provided general medicine, paediatric, ophthalmology and ENT consultations, with the valuable support of the medical team from C. V. Raman General Hospital.

We're happy to share highlights from the Hygiene Kit Distribution & Awareness Program at Govt. HPS Vimanapura, Bengaluru, conducted with the support of KPMG volunteers.

Through hygiene awareness sessions and the distribution of essential hygiene kits, students learned healthy habits that will benefit them every day.

150000+ lives lost - every year to delays in reaching timely emergency care, with road accidents alone accounting for more than 168000 deaths annually and a significant portion linked to the lack of IMMEDIATE AMBULANCE ACCESS, while thousands of families are still forced to transport patients or even deceased loved ones in personal vehicles due to high costs or unavailability, despite the recommended norm of one ambulance per 50000 people India continues to face a critical gap in both ambulance availability and response time especially in rural and underserved regions

We, have taken up this movement to partner with AMETEK to launch our 3rd ambulance as a response to this gap equipped with Advanced Life Support, mobile freezer box facility, a wide T2 structure for better patient movement and pushback seating for safer transport, this initiative is about reducing delay improving access and ensuring that timely emergency care reaches those who need it most.

Our deep gratitudes to all the AMETEK India whose hard-work and good hearts have made this happen so beautifully.

Computer Labs Installed in 8 Government Schools across Tumkur District

As a special initiative, computer labs were installed in 8 government schools across Tumkur District under the CSR initiative by Nagravision India Pvt. Ltd. This effort aims to enable students to access digital learning and build essential skills for the future.

Ramadevarabetta Cleaning Drive Successfully Completed!
On 3rd August 2025, we conducted a cleaning drive at Ramadevarabetta, Ramgiri – a protected vulture sanctuary.
