Conservation of wildlife and wild lands in Karnataka. We work on Wildlife Research, Community-based Conservation, Conflict Mitigation and Outreach.

Also a Nature Information Centre for the masses (Closed on Tuesdays) We also run alternative livelihoods programmes, and design and procure products to help local communities through sales. Proceeds from all sales go towards the local communities and funding our work.

The new NIC is now under construction, and while the outer structure is finally coming together, there’s still much to be built inside before we can get it running.

Holématthi is growing.

The Nature Information Centre is taking on a new form; the same work, the same purpose, now held within a new space.

Right now, it stands quiet. Walls up, rooms open, waiting to be filled as the first rains move through. Soon, this will be a place for conversations, learning, and the many ways people engage with the landscapes around them.

There is still work to be done before it comes fully into use.
But for now, this is a glimpse of what’s coming together.
