This NGO - recycling initiatives are intended to play a vital role in implementing The Recycle's strategy, which aims to encourage the collection, re-use, and recycling of all inorganic waste and other recyclable materials that are discarded in the waste stream, as well as making provision for the collection of recyclables from environmentally sensitive areas, including rural areas, taxi ranks, to
urist areas and high density, low socio-economic urban areas. The NGO will support the government in the promotion of recycling and at the same time achieve job creation opportunities by making recycling a financially viable and sustainable business. The NGO are currently planned and established as multi-recycling centres, sorting and resale of various plastics materials and other recyclables such as paper, cans and glass/bottles. The NGO strives towards sustainable development and best practice to ensure that the establishment and operation of centres meet government’s legal and administrative regulations, procedures and standards that are promulgated for waste facilities in India e.g. permitting requirements and occupational health and safety standards, lease agreements.
