For some students, financial hardship can quietly shape the choices they are able to make about their education.

Growing up in Supaul, Bihar, Rinki saw this happen when her younger brother had to leave private school because her father could no longer afford the cost of their education. The experience made her realise how financial constraints can change the course of a child’s future.

As she began her own college journey, Rinki worried that her education might face similar challenges. Pursuing a BTech in Computer Science and Engineering, she needed support to manage her college expenses and continue building her future in technology.

Through the Infosys Foundation STEM Stars Scholarship Program, implemented in partnership with Buddy4Study, Rinki received support that helped her pay a major portion of her college fees, purchase the books she needed, and set aside funds for future academic expenses.

Today, she is continuing her education with renewed confidence and hopes to pursue higher studies, build a future in technology, and eventually create something of her own as an entrepreneur.

Through STEM Stars, Infosys Foundation continues to support young women from underserved communities in pursuing higher education and building long-term pathways in STEM.

The future of Indian badminton continues to shine through the achievements of young athletes.

At the All-India Junior Ranking Badminton Tournament 2026, held in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, from 25th July to 1st August 2026, young athletes from the Centre for Badminton Excellence (formerly PPBA) delivered an impressive performance, securing 1 Gold and 3 Bronze medals.

Congratulations to:

• Nishchal Chand (17, Uttarakhand) for winning Gold in Under-19 Boys’ Singles.
• Hardik Divyansh (17, Karnataka) for winning Bronze in Under-19 Boys’ Singles.
• Shaina Manimuthu (15, Karnataka) for winning Bronze in Under-19 Girls’ Singles.
• Adarshini Shri (16, Tamil Nadu) for winning Bronze in Under-19 Girls’ Singles.

These performances reflect the dedication, perseverance, and competitive spirit that continue to shape the next generation of badminton talent.

Early screening can help identify vision concerns and enable timely care for children who need it most.

Through Project Cornea, Infosys Foundation is supporting Vittala International Institute of Ophthalmology (Sri Keshava Trust) in expanding access to early eye screening and treatment for children.

Between January and March 2026, the initiative screened 3,493 students across 14 government schools, 1 private preschool, and 1 degree college in Bengaluru. The programme identified 210 children with refractive errors and 25 children with cornea-related eye conditions, enabling timely referrals and intervention.

The initiative also screened 557 high-risk children at the Indira Gandhi Institute of Child Health, where 86 children received medical treatment and 6 children underwent corneal surgery. Beyond schools, a community eye screening and eye donation awareness programme reached 48 individuals in Maddur district.

Through initiatives like these, Infosys Foundation continues to strengthen access to quality eye care, helping more children and communities receive timely diagnosis, treatment, and support.

Financial challenges can make higher education feel out of reach, even for the most determined students.

Growing up in Jalgaon, Maharashtra, Riddhi watched her father support a family of five on an income of less than ₹10,000 a month. While preparing for JEE and balancing her studies, she often questioned how her family would manage the cost of higher education alongside her siblings’ education.

Securing a seat in the B. Tech. Chemical Engineering program was a proud milestone., but the cost of tuition, hostel expenses, and academic resources made continuing her education feel uncertain.

Through the Infosys Foundation STEM Stars Scholarship Program, implemented in partnership with Buddy4Study, Riddhi received support that eased her family’s financial burden and gave her the confidence to focus on her education and future aspirations.

Today, she is pursuing her dream of becoming a Chemical Engineer, empowered by the belief that with the right support, every challenge can become an opportunity for growth.

At the All-India Sub Junior (U-15 & U-17) Ranking Badminton Tournament 2026, held in Bengaluru from 29 June to 7 July, young athletes from the Centre for Badminton Excellence (CBE) delivered an impressive performance, securing 3 Gold, 3 Silver, and 4 Bronze medals across singles and doubles events.

Caring for the environment begins with small actions and young minds.

As part of a volunteering initiative by Saksham, the Gurgaon DC CSR group, students of Mahendwada School came together for a seed ball making activity, preparing 1,530 seed balls using seeds of cucumber, beans, chili, tomato, khair, and other native species.

The seed balls were handed over to the school to help develop a kitchen garden, encouraging students to continue caring for and learning from the plants they helped sow.

The enthusiasm and dedication of the students made the initiative truly memorable, with the top 10 participants recognised for their outstanding efforts.

Through such volunteering initiatives, Infosys Foundation continues to encourage environmental awareness and inspire communities to take small yet meaningful steps towards a greener tomorrow.

For many students, earning a seat at a premier institute is only the beginning of the journey.

Growing up in West Godavari, Andhra Pradesh, Pisni watched her father work tirelessly in a furniture shop to support the family. Despite financial hardships, she remained focused on her education, earning a 100% fee concession for IIT coaching and eventually securing admission to the BTech Computer Science and Engineering program at IIT Jodhpur.

While reaching IIT was a proud milestone, the annual fee of nearly ₹3 lakh placed a significant financial strain on her family. Determined to support her education without taking a loan, her father borrowed money from relatives and neighbors, a sacrifice that stayed with her.

Through the STEM Stars Scholarship Program, implemented in partnership with Buddy4Study, Pisni received support that eased her family’s financial burden and allowed her to focus on building her skills with confidence.

Today, she is pursuing her aspiration of becoming a software developer and has already secured an internship at Zepto, taking another step towards her goal.

Strengthening maternal and neonatal care one milestone at a time.

Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated the Advanced Mother and Child Centre (AMCC) at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, supported by Infosys Foundation.

Infosys Foundation has committed over ₹147 crore towards critical medical equipment for the newly opened center, helping strengthen maternal and neonatal healthcare while expanding access to high-quality and affordable care for low-income families.

Equipped with advanced maternal and neonatal care facilities, including labor and delivery units, neonatal intensive care units, obstetric intensive care units, modular operation theatres, a blood bank, a human milk bank, and a kangaroo mother care ward, the center is expected to benefit over 25,000 pregnant women and newborns annually.

Access to technology can shape career opportunities.

Sanjeevani, the Infosys Thiruvananthapuram DC CSR group, led the establishment of a new computer lab at the Government ITI for Women, Kazhakkoottam, strengthening digital learning infrastructure for aspiring young women.

The 1,500 sq. ft. facility features a 54-seater workstation, 50 computer systems, a dedicated server, networking infrastructure, UPS-backed power, air conditioning, CCTV surveillance, and essential learning resources, creating a modern, technology-enabled learning environment.

The new facility will enable students to access digital education and appear for examinations within their own campus, helping remove barriers to learning while strengthening their technical skills and future career opportunities.

By expanding access to quality digital infrastructure, Infosys Foundation continues to support equitable learning opportunities for young women to build meaningful careers.

A family’s belief can often become the foundation of a young woman’s aspirations.

Growing up in Arrah, Bihar, Muskan’s father believed in her potential even when others questioned the value of educating a girl. Despite financial constraints that led her to shift from a private to a government school, Muskan remained focused on her studies, eventually clearing JEE Main and earning admission to the BTech Chemical Engineering program at the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology, Uttar Pradesh.

While securing admission was a significant milestone, the cost of higher education placed a considerable financial burden on her family. With a semester fee of ₹1.25 lakh, continuing her education often felt uncertain.

Through the Infosys Foundation STEM Stars Scholarship Program, implemented in partnership with Buddy4Study, Muskan received support that eased her family’s financial burden and allowed her to continue her education with confidence while pursuing opportunities beyond the classroom.

Today, she is building her career in the energy sector through an internship at Bharat Petroleum and aspires to become a Chemical Engineer at Indian Oil Corporation, leading teams that create accessible energy solutions.

Through STEM Stars, Infosys Foundation continues to support young women from underserved communities in pursuing higher education and building long-term pathways in STEM.
