We recently hosted students from the Diploma Program in Teaching Children with Learning Disabilities at Azim Premji University at Colours.

What does learning look like in practice? Bridging theory and practice is where real understanding begins, and engagements like these make that possible.

Grateful for the curiosity, openness, and conversation we engaged in with the students from APU.

New here? Start with this.

Colours Centre for Learning supports autistic children, adolescents and adults through our structured, individualised programme, DBT - Dynamic Behaviour Transformation Program for Autism - that focus on communication, emotional regulation, social skills and independence.

We work closely with parents and families to create consistent support systems — because progress happens in everyday life not in isolated sessions.

If you’re a parent, educator, or someone who cares about autism education and inclusion, we’re glad you’re here.

At Colours Centre for Learning, we believe that building an inclusive world for autistic individuals and families contributes to a broader global vision for sustainable development.

Our work aligns with several UN Sustainable Development Goals:
🌱 SDG 3 — Good Health & Well-Being
📚 SDG 4 — Quality Education
⚖️ SDG 10 — Reduced Inequalities
💼 SDG 8 — Decent Work & Economic Growth
🤝 SDG 17 — Partnerships for the Goals

Together, we are working toward a future where neurodiversity is understood, supported, and celebrated.

At the Global Autism Convention 2026, at St. John’s Medical College, Bangalore, Ms. Bela Joshi presented The Colours Approach — an arts-based curriculum grounded in structured pedagogy and Dynamic Behaviour Transformation (DBT is an approach developed in-house at Colours for autism).

Too often, art for children on the spectrum is reduced to recreational craft.

But thoughtful curriculum design can offer:
• sensory regulation
• executive functioning development
• visual-motor integration
• emotional processing
• spatial reasoning
• instructional compliance
• independent thinking
• confidence building

Art is not an “extra.”
It is a developmental tool.
A language.
A bridge.

We are proud to contribute to the national conversation on inclusive arts education.
If you’d like to collaborate, research, or bring this model into your institution — we’d love to connect.
