ವಿಷಯ: ಭೂಪೂರಣ (ಲ್ಯಾಂಡ್ಫಿಲ್ಲಿಂಗ್) ಮತ್ತು ತ್ಯಾಜ್ಯ ದಹನದ ಪರಿಣಾಮದಿಂದ ಆರೋಗ್ಯದ ಮೇಲೆ ಪರಿಣಾಮ ಬೀರುತ್ತಿರುವ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ದೂರು
ಗೌರವಾನ್ವಿತ ಸರ್/ಮ್ಯಾಡಂ,
ನಾನು ಆಸ್ಪೈರ್ ಲೇಔಟ್ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಈ ಪತ್ರವನ್ನು ಬರೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ತ್ಯಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಎಸೆದು ಅದನ್ನು ತೆರವುಗೊಳಿಸುವುದರ ಬದಲು ಸುಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಈ ತ್ಯಾಜ್ಯ ದಹನದಿಂದ ಹಗುರವಾದ ಧೂಮ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಷಕಾರಿ ವಾಯುಗಳು ಹೊರಸೂಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳ ಆರೋಗ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಗಂಭೀರ ತೊಂದರೆ ಉಂಟುಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಮಕ್ಕಳು, ಹಿರಿಯರು ಮತ್ತು ಉಸಿರಾಟ ಸಂಬಂಧಿತ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳಿರುವ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳು ಇದರಿಂದ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಕಷ್ಟಪಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಈ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಿಂದ ಈ ಕೆಳಗಿನ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳು ಉಂಟಾಗಿವೆ:
1. ತೀವ್ರ ವಾಯು ಮಾಲಿನ್ಯ – ಹೊಗೆಯ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ ಉಸಿರಾಡುವುದು ಕಷ್ಟವಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ; ಕಣ್ಣಿಗೆ, ಗಂಟಲು ಮತ್ತು ಉಸಿರಾಟ ನಾಳಿಗಳಿಗೆ ತೊಂದರೆ ಉಂಟಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ.
2. ಆರೋಗ್ಯದ ಅಪಾಯಗಳು – ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳು ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಕೆಮ್ಮು, ಅಲರ್ಜಿಗಳು, ಮತ್ತು ಉಸಿರಾಟ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
3. ಪರಿಸರ ಹಾನಿ – ತ್ಯಾಜ್ಯ ದಹನವು ವಾಯು ಮಾಲಿನ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಪರಿಸರ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟವನ್ನು ಕುಸಿಯಲು ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿದೆ.
ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳ ಪುನಃ ಪುನಃ ನೀಡಿದ ದೂರುಗಳ ನಡುವೆಯೂ ಈ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ಪರಿಹಾರ ದೊರಕುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ, ನಾವು ಅನೇಕಲ್ ಮಹಾನಗರ ಪಾಲಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಈ ಕೆಳಗಿನ ತ್ವರಿತ ಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲು ವಿನಂತಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ:
ಬೇಹುದಾಗಿ ತ್ಯಾಜ್ಯ ದಹನವನ್ನು ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಅದರ ಮೇಲಿನ ಕಟ್ಟುನಿಟ್ಟಾದ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣವನ್ನು ಜಾರಿಗೆ ತರುವಂತೆ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಿ.
ಸಮರ್ಥ ತ್ಯಾಜ್ಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಣಾ ವಿಧಾನಗಳನ್ನು ಜಾರಿಗೆ ತಮಗಿ, ತ್ಯಾಜ್ಯ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಲೇವಾರಿ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ಉತ್ತಮಗೊಳಿಸಿ.
ನಿವಾಸಿ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಿಂದ ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ವಿಶೇಷ ತ್ಯಾಜ್ಯ ಭೂಪೂರಣ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳನ್ನು (ಲ್ಯಾಂಡ್ಫಿಲ್) ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸಿ, ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ಆರೋಗ್ಯವನ್ನು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿರಿಸಲು ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಿ.
ನಾವು ಈ ವಿಷಯವನ್ನು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಪ್ರಾಮುಖ್ಯತೆಯಿಂದ ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಿ ತ್ವರಿತ ಕ್ರಮ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕಾಗಿ ಕೋರುತ್ತೇವೆ. ದಯವಿಟ್ಟು ಈ ಪತ್ರವನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿ, ಹಾಗೂ ಈ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಪರಿಹರಿಸಲು ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲಾದ ಕ್ರಮಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ನಮಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಬೇಕಾಗಿ ವಿನಂತಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ.

Subject: Complaint Regarding Landfilling and Open Burning Causing Severe Air Pollution
Respected Sir/Madam,
I am writing on behalf of the residents of Aspire Layout to bring to your urgent attention the ongoing issue of landfill waste dumping and open burning in our locality. The continuous burning of waste is releasing thick smoke and toxic fumes, severely impacting the health and well-being of residents, especially children, senior citizens, and individuals with respiratory conditions.
This situation has led to:
1. Severe Air Pollution – The smoke is making it difficult for residents to breathe, causing irritation to the eyes, throat, and lungs.
2. Health Hazards – Many residents are experiencing frequent coughs, allergies, and breathing difficulties due to exposure to toxic fumes.
3. Environmental Damage – The illegal burning of waste contributes to air pollution and degrades the quality of life in the area.
Despite repeated complaints from residents, the issue remains unresolved. We kindly request the Anekal Municipality to take immediate action to:
Stop open burning of waste and implement strict monitoring to prevent further occurrences.
Enforce proper waste management practices, including efficient waste collection and disposal.
Set up designated landfill sites away from residential areas to ensure public safety.
We urge the authorities to treat this matter as a priority and take necessary steps to safeguard public health. We also request an inspection of the affected area and a clear action plan from the municipality to address this issue.
We appreciate your prompt attention to this serious concern and look forward to your immediate intervention. Please acknowledge receipt of this letter and inform us of the steps being taken to resolve the issue.
