JIH Karnataka President Dr. Mohammad Saad Belgami Expresses Grave Concern Over Hanur Encounter, Demands Judicial Inquiry

Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, Karnataka President, Dr. Mohammad Saad Belgami, has expressed deep shock and serious concern over the recent shooting incident by forest department personnel in the Chikkalluru reserve forest area of Hanur taluk, Chamarajanagar district, which resulted in the loss of three lives.

​Dr. Saad Belgami stated that taking lives under the guise of an encounter is a clear violation of constitutionally guaranteed rights. He pointed out that serious questions remain regarding the necessity and justification of using fi****ms in this incident. He emphasized that unauthorized entry into a protected forest area with a country gun for hunting cannot justify shooting people to death, and law enforcement officials must strictly operate within legal boundaries when using weapons.

​Dr. Saad Belgami urged the Karnataka state government to immediately order an independent judicial inquiry to uncover the truth and take appropriate legal action against those responsible. He also demanded suitable financial compensation and government support for the families of the deceased to deliver justice.

ಚಾಮರಾಜನಗರ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಹನೂರು ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಚಿಕ್ಕಲ್ಲೂರು ಮೀಸಲು ಅರಣ್ಯ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಅರಣ್ಯ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ನಡೆಸಿದ ಗುಂಡಿನ ದಾಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂವರು ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟ ಘಟನೆಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ, ಜಮಾಅತೆ ಇಸ್ಲಾಮಿ ಹಿಂದ್ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಡಾ. ಮಹಮ್ಮದ್ ಸಾದ್ ಬೆಳ್ಗಾಮಿ ಅವರು ತೀವ್ರ ಆಘಾತ ಹಾಗೂ ಕಳವಳ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

​ಎನ್‌ಕೌಂಟರ್ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾಣ ತೆಗೆಯುವುದು ಸಂವಿಧಾನ ನೀಡಿರುವ ಮೂಲಭೂತ ಹಕ್ಕುಗಳ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟ ಉಲ್ಲಂಘನೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಘಟನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದೂಕು ಬಳಸಿ ಪ್ರಾಣ ತೆಗೆಯುವ ಅಗತ್ಯವೇನಿತ್ತು ಮತ್ತು ಅದು ಎಷ್ಟರ ಮಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಸಮರ್ಥನೀಯ ಎಂಬ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಹಲವು ಗಂಭೀರ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಳು ಹುಟ್ಟಿಕೊಂಡಿವೆ. ಸಂರಕ್ಷಿತ ಅರಣ್ಯ ಪ್ರದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ನಾಡಕೋವಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬೇಟೆಯಾಡುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಅಕ್ರಮ ಪ್ರವೇಶ ಮಾಡಿದರು ಎಂಬ ಕಾರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಗುಂಡಿಕ್ಕಿ ಕೊಲ್ಲುವುದನ್ನು ಬೆಂಬಲಿಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ. ಶಸ್ತ್ರಾಸ್ತ್ರ ಬಳಸುವಾಗ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಕಾನೂನಿನ ಮಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಬೇಕು.

​ಈ ಘಟನೆಯ ನಿಜಾಂಶ ಹಾಗೂ ತಪ್ಪಿತಸ್ಥರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಸೂಕ್ತ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲು ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಂಗ ತನಿಖೆ ನಡೆಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಡಾ. ಸಾದ್ ಬೆಳಗಾಮಿ ಅವರು ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರವನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇದರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟವರ ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಸೂಕ್ತ ಪರಿಹಾರ ಹಾಗೂ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ನೆರವು ನೀಡಿ ನ್ಯಾಯ ಒದಗಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅವರು ಆಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
