Agastya International Foundation Agastya is a non-profit organization committed to make learning Fun! Useful! Accessible!

Agastya International Foundation is a Bangalore based education trust that seeks to transform and stimulate thinking of rural children. Agastya does this by bringing innovative, hands-on education to the doorstep of rural schools across India. This is through the use of outreach programs such as Science on Wheels (Mobile Van Programme) and science fairs. Agastya's vision of a creative India of 'tinkerers, solution-seekers and creators' that are 'humane, anchored and connected' is being achieved through a high-impact grassroots education model, which aims to inspire and catalyze widespread social development, innovation and leadership.

What makes a car move? How do its engines and components work together? Children from two Lab-on-a-Bikes explored these questions during an industry exposure visit to the Hyundai Motor Showroom in Chandera Industrial Area, Lalitpur.

On 29 September 2026, 40 children from Upper Primary School, Sevni Khurd and Roda, accompanied by three teachers and Agastya's Ignators, visited the showroom to discover the world of automobiles.

During the visit, children explored different Hyundai car models, learned about vehicle specifications and engine types, and understood the functions of various automobile components. They also gained practical insights into how vehicles work and the importance of regular maintenance.

The visit connected classroom concepts with real-world applications, giving children an opportunity to observe, ask questions, and discover the science behind automobile technology.

How can simple experiments make classroom learning more engaging?

At the Teacher Training Program held at, Madhora, Jalaun, Uttar Pradesh, on 29–30 September 2026, 35 teachers from 17 profile schools explored hands-on teaching methods through practical activities, low-cost models, Acid–Base experiments, Electrolysis, and more.

Conducted under the Vidya Vahini Project, supported by Hyundai Motor India Foundation, the training encouraged teachers to bring more curiosity, creativity, and experiential learning into their classrooms.

Because when teachers explore new ways to teach, Children get more opportunities to question, experiment, and learn by doing.

Before becoming one of India’s leading tech entrepreneurs, Sridhar Vembu was a curious child in Tamil Nadu, drawn to science, problem-solving, and the possibilities of technology.

Today, through Agastya’s digital learning programs, students like Pooja are learning how technology can help solve real-world problems from promoting cleanliness to saving water.

Like him, every child starts with curiosity. With access to technology, that curiosity can become ideas, skills, and creations.

Meet Avani, a Class 6 child from Pune, who codes games, experiments with electronics, and has built a model to help people with visual impairments detect obstacles. Today, she dreams of becoming a game developer.

This DaanUtsav, 2–8 October, supports Daan for Future Coders and helps more children like Avani explore coding, robotics, and digital learning.
