A thriving ecosystem doesn't happen overnight.

Today, the campus is home to 600+ plant species, 152 bird species, 103 butterfly species, and several rare reptiles, amphibians, and spiders made possible through years of protection, afforestation, and habitat restoration.

This World Environment Day, we celebrate the richness of nature and our responsibility to protect it.

Spread across green hills and open landscapes in Gudivanka, Andhra Pradesh, the Agastya campus is designed as a place where learning happens everywhere. Labs, discovery centres, and creative spaces are woven into the natural terrain, encouraging children to explore as they move through the campus. From science and technology to art and play, the campus supports hands-on learning at every step. It reflects Agastya’s belief that children learn best by exploring, questioning, and doing.

Each year, millions of children in India drop out of school before finishing their schooling. Every dropout is a future decrease, a future engineer, creator, entrepreneur, or problem solver the world may never know.

Night Village Schools are helping children reconnect with learning through STEM, creative activities and community outreach in spaces that bring curiosity back into their lives, while helping families understand the importance of education. Because each child deserves a second chance to learn.

Agastya International Foundation, in partnership with Code.org, launched the “Hour of AI” awareness camp as part of this year’s summer camps. Through hands-on and unplugged activities, children explored how Artificial Intelligence learns, recognizes patterns, and supports areas like environment, education, and healthcare.

From identifying real versus AI-generated images to brainstorming real-world AI solutions, the sessions encouraged children to question, observe, collaborate, and think critically about the technology shaping everyday life.

In 2009, Agastya started Operation Vasantha — the “Night Village School” program — to help children and school dropouts continue their education and reconnect with learning.

For many children in rural India, education often takes a backseat as families struggle to make ends meet. Many leave school early to support their households, and returning later can feel overwhelming due to learning gaps, social pressure, and loss of confidence.

Through Operation Vasantha, volunteer tutors from local communities support these children in restarting their learning journey. Along with teaching, these volunteers receive regular training and educational support.

In 2024–25 alone, Operation Vasantha reached 13,387 children through 369 OV Centers across India, helping children return to classrooms and rebuild confidence in learning.

Join the cause and help bring learning opportunities closer to more children in rural India.
