In this talk, we'll explore how 'energy' is made or stored, and why different nutrients result in very different outcomes for cells. The talk will end with how cells are now being used to solve the 'supply' problems for many foods - from milk proteins, to other nutrients.

What We’re Reading | This week, we’re reading a study on the politics of transnational agrarian movements (TAMs) and policies of international (rural) development. The findings indicate that ‘people of the land’ are socially differentiated and have varied experiences of neoliberal globalization, linking land, agriculture and food sovereignty. The findings show how politics of representation, intermediation and mobilisation are varied between the scale of the TAMs, highlighting Vía Campesina.

At the Gallery, our exhibit Tremors Ground by Elia Nurvista explores Borras Jr.’s focus on how politics intersects with what we eat.

Experience this exhibit and more as part of CALORIE, every Wednesday to Sunday.
