🤔 Imagine living in a world of absolute silence. Imagine not being able to hear the voice of your grandchild, the warning honk of a vehicle on a busy Bengaluru street, or a simple greeting from a neighbor.
For 32 retired, low-income informal workers in our city, this silence is their daily reality. As they age, their hearing fades. Living in under-resourced settlements, they cannot afford a basic medical test, let alone the life-changing medical equipment they desperately need.
🎁 The Good News:
The Samvaad Institute of Speech & Hearing (Hebbal) is giving away FREE hearing aid machines and screenings.
FEDINA organization is supporting the elderly from the areas to reach the Samvaad institue to get screened.
🛑 The Hurdle:
These senior citizens cannot afford the travel and food costs to get to the clinic.
FEDINA orginisation staff will accompany them, support them during screening, provide lunch and drop them back at their homes. For which we are raising fund for their travel and lunch cost.
💡 Your Impact:
Just ₹500 covers the food and travel for one senior citizen to attend the screening and receive their free hearing aid.
Goal: ₹16,000 to change 32 lives.
