Founded in 2001 by Paraspara Trust, an NGO dedicated to the eradication of the child labour system, and now governed by The Baale Mane Trust, the home provides shelter and a loving home for girls. They girls are either orphans, have a single parent who is unable to care for them or have lost contact with their parents. Summer at Baale Mane means the return of a favourite — our English Summer Programme! Through cartoons, fairy tales, music, and more, each day blends creativity and learning — with book clubs, reading, word games, & themed activities. With teams like Trouble Makers and Block Busters, sessions are full of energy, imagination, and teamwork. The sessions are fully gamified, with teams like Trouble Makers, Block Busters etc bringing energy, teamwork, & lots of excitement into the room. It’s a space where the girls dress up, step into characters, play, learn, and grow — together. Because here, learning English isn’t just about language — it’s about confidence, imagination, and finding your voice.

Alongside all the fun and exploration, our older girls have started a special journey of their own — a computer programme designed to introduce them to the basics of coding and AI. In these sessions, they’re not just learning how technology works — they’re beginning to understand how they can shape it. Because access to technology isn’t just about skills — it’s about opening doors to futures they can imagine for themselves.

Sport has the power to do more than build strength! This week, as we reflect on the International Day of Sport, we’re reminded that sport can build bridges and break barriers — creating connection, inclusion, and opportunity for young people everywhere.
Sport is an everyday part of growing up at Baale. Whether it’s a game of kabaddi, a moment of teamwork, or simply showing up and trying again — the girls are constantly learning. Not just how to play, but how to trust, lead, communicate, and support one another. These moments build more than physical strength. They build resilience, confidence, a sense of self and joy. Because sometimes, the most important lessons are learned not in classrooms, but in the middle of a game, surrounded by laughter, energy, and a team that has your back.

Health is about care, awareness, and everyday choices. This World Health Day, the call is clear — “Together for health. Stand with science.” It’s a reminder that good health is built through informed care, access to the right support, and trust in knowledge and guidance.
At Baale Mane, health is understood in its entirety — both physical and mental. Recently, we ran health camps for the girls led by doctors from our partner hospital. These included consultations across dermatology, general health, eye care, and dental check-ups — ensuring that concerns are identified early and cared for with attention. But just as importantly, these sessions go hand in hand with learning sessions. The girls learn about their bodies, ask questions, understand hygiene, nutrition, and wellbeing — and build confidence in seeking care when they need it. Because health is not just about access. It is about awareness, dignity, and the ability to take charge of one’s own wellbeing.

At this pace, gender pay equality could take another century - That’s not just a statistic. That’s generations of women being underpaid, undervalued, and unseen. But change doesn’t wait for time to pass. It is built — intentionally, consistently, every single day.
At Baale Mane, that work begins early. Through education, skills training, and constant encouragement, girls grow into young women who:
-pursue higher education
-step into skilled careers
-understand their worth
-and learn to ask for what they deserve
Because equality doesn’t start in the workplace. It starts long before — with access, confidence, and opportunity. And that is where change truly begins.

After the school day winds down, the girls come together over tea and snacks — a simple, familiar pause in the middle of everything else. It’s not a structured part of the day, but it often becomes one of the most important. There are stories from school, small complaints, bursts of laughter, quiet check-ins. Some days are playful and loud, others softer, slower. But the circle remains — a space where everyone arrives just as they are. For many of the girls, this is where friendships deepen and where the day is gently processed.

The yoga circle is growing at the home. Younger girls are learning alongside the older ones — watching closely, trying each stretch, sometimes giggling through the poses, and slowly finding their rhythm. It’s in these moments that something quiet and powerful unfolds. The older girls lead with patience and care, guiding not just movements, but also building comfort and trust. What they’ve learned over the years is now being passed on — gently, naturally. For the younger girls, yoga is still new. But already, it’s becoming a space where they can settle, feel supported, and begin to understand their own bodies and minds.
And for the older girls, it’s a chance to step into leadership — to encourage, to include, and to hold space for those just starting out. You also see confidence being built, one girl at a time — and passed on to the next.

When girls move from feeling like they don’t belong to truly feeling supported, the impact on their wellbeing is profound, according to the World Happiness Report 2026.
At Baale Mane, we see this every day. In a space where girls feel safe, valued, and supported, they grow into confident young women. And over time, something even more powerful happens — they begin to create that same sense of belonging for others. In this moment, as our older girls — now in college and building their own paths — laugh and play with the younger girls, you can see it clearly.
Because when a girl knows she belongs, she doesn’t just grow — she lifts others with her.

When girls are supported, they succeed. Barriers like poverty, lack of safe homes, social expectations, and limited resources continue to push girls out of classrooms. At Baale Mane, we help build a different story. With a safe home, consistent mentoring, and educational support, all our girls complete school. Education opens doors to college, careers, independence, and the confidence to shape their own futures. When girls are given the chance to stay in school, the impact lasts a lifetime.

Every girl deserves the chance to grow into the woman she dreams of becoming.
At Baale Mane, we see every day how meaningful support can change the course of a girl’s life. When girls are given care, education, and opportunities, they grow into confident young women ready to shape their own futures.
From classrooms to college campuses, from self-doubt to self-belief, their journeys remind us that when we invest in girls, the impact reaches far beyond one life — strengthening families, communities, and the future we all share. Today, we celebrate the strength, resilience, and dreams of every girl and woman. And we continue our commitment to stand beside them as they learn, grow, and lead.
💜 Happy International Women’s Day 💜

📖✨ Our annual English Language Programme helps girls build their language skills through interactive, engaging learning sessions focused on grammar, speaking, listening, reading, writing, and comprehension. To ensure every learner receives the right support, the girls are divided into two groups based on proficiency levels, allowing lessons to be paced to their comfort and growth. Through activities, conversations, storytelling, and practice-based learning, the girls steadily build fluency and confidence — skills that open doors to higher education, employment opportunities, and independence.
Because every new word learned today brings our girls one step closer to opportunity and self-reliance.
