Cancer survivors wish you knew something - being changed by cancer doesn't mean being defined by it.

Real strength isn't the absence of fear. It's choosing hope every single day despite it. Survivors celebrate ordinary moments - a cup of tea, a good conversation, a sunset - because these aren't small wins. These are everything.

What they need isn't sympathy. It's understanding. Listen. Be kind. That's enough. Healing continues long after treatment ends, and that journey looks different for everyone.

Connect with Indian Cancer Society to support survivors in your community. Their stories matter. You are not alone. We are with you. Support. Strength. Survivorship. Together.

💜 "Stage 4. 12 years in remission."

Mehul Vyas was given just one month to survive after being diagnosed with Stage 4 throat cancer.

Today, he is in his 12th year of remission.

"Don't lose hope. Keep fighting."

Celebrating Strength, Honoring Journeys: Survivors Day 2026

This June 9th, the Indian Cancer Society opens its doors and hearts for Survivors Day - a gathering not just of names, but of courage, resilience, and hope.

To every survivor who fought, every caregiver who held a hand through the storm: this day is yours.

Join us for a Cancer Survivors & Caregivers Support Group Meeting
June 9th | Indian Cancer Society

Together, we will:
- Share stories that remind us we are never alone
- Celebrate victories - big and small - that deserve to be seen
- Find strength in a community that understands without words
- Honor the caregivers whose love is the quiet force behind every survivor

Your journey inspires. Your presence matters. Your story lights the way for others still walking theirs.

Whether you rang the bell last week or years ago, whether you stayed up through chemo nights or held hope when it was hard - come as you are.

You survived. You carried. You belong here.

Let’s fill the room with laughter, tears, hugs, and the unshakable truth: cancer may have started our story, but it doesn’t get to end it.

RSVP today. Bring your smile, your strength, and someone who walked with you.

June 9th - Because every survivor deserves to be celebrated, and every caregiver deserves to be thanked.

With courage, with community, with you - Indian Cancer Society

Losing hair during chemotherapy is one of the hardest, most visible parts of cancer. For many patients, it's the moment the illness becomes something everyone can see.

Your hair can change that. Tied into a braid and donated, it becomes a wig that helps someone step out with dignity and feel like themselves again.

Before you donate:
💛 Minimum length: 14 inches
💛 Hair should be clean and braided before cutting

Don't forget to take a photograph of your before and after look and post it on social media to encourage others to follow your path.

Certificate for hair donation available at our office.

It costs you nothing but a haircut. It gives someone back a piece of themselves.
