➡️ One Step at a Time

Kaamya Karthikeyan is eighteen. She has summited the highest peak on every continent and skied to the South Pole. All while attending school full time, practicing Bharatanatyam, and competing in debates.

In this conversation, Kaamya speaks with Sunil Chainani – long-distance runner, former Karnataka squash captain, and someone who has spent a lifetime balancing demanding physical goals with a corporate career. Together they explore what it actually takes: the early mornings, the trade-offs, the decision to keep going when stopping was easier.

➡️ The Serious Side of Internet Absurdity

The memers, content creators, livestreamers, conspiracy theorists, and influencers we are taught not to take seriously, but somehow cannot peel our eyes away. These so-called unserious corners of the internet may understand contemporary India better than the people we are told to listen to: its aspirations, anxieties, and caste and class contradictions, refracted through the internet’s strangest corners.

Writer and filmmaker Anurag Minus Verma writes about it all in his new book, The Great Indian Brainrot. In this session, he is joined by journalist Priya Ramani. Together, they navigate some of the most absurd and political corners of the internet.

➡️ Voh Subah Hami Se Aayegi | That Dawn That We Will Bring

This documentary traces the women’s movements in India over four decades: their resistance to violence, their challenges to caste and patriarchal tradition, and the legal and social changes they fought for and won. Spanning regions and communities across the country, the film captures the vibrancy of their leaders, the urgency of the movements and the impact on all our lives.

The screening will be followed by a conversation between the director, Uma Chakravarti and researcher-filmmaker, Madhu Bhushan.

➡️ Happening Tomorrow at BIC!

The recital opens with a meditative alaap and jod as an invocation to the raga itself. With a distinctive focus on the kharaj, the heavy bass strings of the sitar, the signature of the Maihar Gharana draws from the Dhrupad tradition.

The second half turns lighter with a series of expressive dhuns offering a joyful and accessible conclusion while preserving the depth, nuance, and emotional richness of the tradition. The music speaks through temperament, through season, through the rhythms of the natural world.

Join us for a morning of music. RSVP link in bio. ✉️

➡️ Dohri Zindagi

📍Language: Hindi & Marwadi

Two greedy merchants discover their wives are pregnant, and promise their unborn children to each other in marriage. Both have daughters, but one is secretly raised as a son. The betrothed are married in the traditions of their rural Rajasthani home. What happens on the wedding night, when the truth is revealed?

Dohri Zindagi is based on a short story by Padmashri Vijaydaan Detha, celebrated storyteller of rural Rajasthan, and was adapted for the stage by Neha Singh.

➡️ Paratattva: The Supreme Essence

Encountering Krishna through story, song, and surrender.

This Kuchipudi production unfolds through interconnected vignettes set in Gokula, Vṛndāvana, and landscapes where flowers, longing, and the moon itself become metaphors for Krishna and the blossoming heart of the devotee.

Accompanied by a live orchestra, Paratattva traces how Krishna moves between the intimate and the infinite: child and cosmic force, beloved and protector, playful trickster and Paramātma.

➡️ To the Moon and Beyond

NASA’s Artemis II swung four astronauts around the Moon this April. India’s Chandrayaan-3 landed near the lunar south pole a few years ago. And China has been quietly building the most ambitious lunar programme of any nation thus far. The moon has turned from symbol to destination through missions, timelines, and competing national interests.

In this conversation, Srinivasan Chandrasekhar, Jatan Mehta, and Jahnavi Phalkey examine what this moment means: the technological achievement, the geopolitical contest, and the question of who sets the rules when the moon’s resources are finally within reach.

Free and open to all who are curious to learn something new ✉️ RSVP on the website.
