Centre for Public Health and Equity The Centre for Public Health and Equity (CPHE) is one of the functional units of the Society for Community Health Awareness, Research and Action (SOCHARA).

As a part of the silver jubilee celebrations of Community Health Cell (CHC) in 2008, SOCHARA inaugurated CPHE as a distinct and new functional unit. This unit evolved from the organization's work on public health education and policy research, action and advocacy. CPHE continues to work on the society's objectives, making public health education more relevant to the new public health paradigm, wh

ich focuses on health equity, rights, social determinants including gender, inclusive and responsive health systems, and health policy development.
