🌸Lama Tsongkhapa Day
📅 Sunday, Dec 14 | 🕙 10 AM – 12:30 PM IST
In-person & online
The Sunday program also coincides the day that marks the parinirvana of Je Tsongkhapa, founder of the Gelug tradition. This auspicious occasion is traditionally a time to deepen our devotion and practice through offerings, prayers, and reflection on his teachings of wisdom and compassion. A meaningful day to make aspirations, gather merit, and strengthen our Dharma connection. The Sunday program includes the following:
A Guide to the Bodhisattva’s Way of Life from 10:00 AM – 11:15 AM IST
Guru Puja with Tsok from 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Guru Puja is a devotional practice of relying on the spiritual teacher as the source of inspiration and guidance. Tsok means ‘gathering.’ During a tsok offering, we offer items like food, drink, flowers, incense, and light. These are offered with a pure mind, seeing them not as ordinary objects but as supports for wisdom and letting go of attachment and aversion.
Participants are encouraged to bring offerings such as food, flowers, incense, tea candles, or a khata.
All are welcome!🙏🏾
