Bridging the immunity gap is about ensuring every student stays healthy and protected. 🛡️✨

As we conclude the World Immunization Week 2026 today, we are reminded that for every generation, vaccines work.

A wonderful example of this is unfolding right now in classrooms across Uttar Pradesh. By noticing that diphtheria cases were appearing more often in older age groups, IHAT worked with the Government of Uttar Pradesh to design a special school-based campaign. This vital effort aims to reach ~ 8.8 million adolescents aged 10 and 16 years for their scheduled boosters.

This initiative is about more than just a single dose; it is about closing the gap in protection to ensure our youth can grow up healthy and strong.

At the VHSND platform, routine immunization comes to life through the efforts of frontline health workers, caregivers, and community-level service delivery systems.

From administering vaccines, maintaining records and supporting families who come in for care, each step plays an important role in protecting children’s health.

At IHAT, strengthening such last-mile platforms remains central to improving access to essential maternal and child health services. These everyday efforts help build trust, improve coverage, and support healthier futures for children and families.

This World Immunization Week 2026, IHAT shares a short film that reminds parents that there should be no excuses when it comes to protecting their children through timely vaccination.

The film addresses common reasons for delay, including concern over losing a day’s wages.

Its message is clear and encouraging. Vaccination is a shared responsibility, and making time for it is one of the most important steps parents can take for their child’s health, safety and future

As we observe World Immunization Week 2026, we celebrate how digital innovation is making "Vaccines Work for Every Generation."

A key part of this journey in Uttar Pradesh is the U-WIN portal, a digital backbone that ensures no child or pregnant woman is left behind. The Government of Uttar Pradesh is leading a transformative shift by rolling out this digital platform.

By empowering frontline workers like ANMs to update data in real-time during service delivery, the state is ensuring:
✅ Accurate digital records for every dose administered.
⏰ Timely reminders for families about upcoming vaccinations.
🗺️ Better planning to reach children in every corner of the state.

By embracing these digital solutions today, the state is securing a healthier, more protected future for all children. 🌍🌱

Making sure every child has a shield of protection is at the heart of a healthier future. 🛡️✨

As we celebrate World Immunization Week 2026, we are reminded that for every generation, vaccines work. While it is natural for parents to have questions about small things like a brief fever, the long-term safety a vaccine provides is what truly matters.

At IHAT, we see this dedication in action every day. From ensuring that routine vaccines are accessible for all to supporting the Government of Uttar Pradesh with establishing new platforms for vaccine delivery for school-going children, the choice is the same: choosing health over fear.

As this video beautifully captures, a mother reminds us that while we might worry about a day of fever, it is the disease we should truly fear. Her story is a powerful reminder that timely vaccination is the best gift we can give our children.

By looking after the health of our children today, we are ensuring a safer and stronger journey for the next generation. 🌍🌱

World Immunization Week 2026 has commenced, and the theme "For every generation, vaccines work" reminds us that the benefits of immunization are cumulative and essential at every milestone.

IHAT highlights a simple but important message: Vaccination matters across the life course. From infancy and childhood👶to adolescence🎒, pregnancy 🤰, adulthood💼, and older age👵👴, immunization helps protect health at every stage of life.

🩺✨ Life course vaccination is a reminder that prevention is not limited to one age group. It is a continuing public health priority across generations.
