The meeting of 24th June 2026 was a memorable and heart warming gathering for Rotary Bangalore South. President SHIVRAM M. R. expressed his deep gratitude to all Board Members, Advisors, Youth Chair, vocational chair and every Rotarian serving across various committees. He specially appreciated the dedicated efforts of the Sergeant at Arms, Treasurer, Editor, and several others whose teamwork ensured a successful Rotary year. The President emphasized that “this level of achievement is but natural when full cooperation comes from every member of the team.”
Major Projects Presented
The President took the opportunity to highlight the significant projects undertaken by the club:
• Planetarium Project – IIT Jammu A visionary initiative aimed at benefiting 42 Army Schools and several Government Schools, enhancing scientific learning and curiosity among thousands of students.
• Observatory Tower – MMS School, Bangalore A Global Grant–sanctioned project that will bring astronomical learning closer to young minds.
• High Tech Computer Labs – Vasavi Vidyaniketan School Another Global Grant approved to establish modern digital learning infrastructure.
All these major initiatives, along with numerous smaller community projects, were made possible through the generous support of donors of Rotary Bangalore South. A detailed PowerPoint presentation showcased the breadth and impact of the club’s work.
Diagnostic Center Initiative
President SHIVRAM M R also announced a landmark community health project: Rotary Bangalore South has identified a Diagnostic Center at Ramanashree Ashram, in collaboration with philanthropist Mr. Srinivasa Reddy and his family, who have provided a 4000 sq. ft. building for the center.
The club honored Mr. Jaishankar M. R., Chairman – Brigade Foundation, for his magnanimous donation of US $32,000 towards the Diagnostic Center. The total project cost is US $126,315, and the President expressed confidence that the entire amount will be mobilized within the Rotary FY 2025–26.
A Celebration of Togetherness
The evening concluded with cocktails and dinner, enjoyed by Rotarians, Rotaractors, and Rotary families — marking a joyful celebration of service, unity, and accomplishment.
