VidyaKshetra is an education centered community focusing on HOLISTIC EDUCATION and SUSTAINABLE LIVING, that intend to create pathways leading to social transformation. Our guiding principles:

Our syllabus of growth has four aspects:

1. Panchakoshatmika vikas
Learning in Vidyakshetra will be built on the structure of 5 folded development of the child - Annamaya kosha, Pranamaya kosha, Manomaya kosha, Vignanamaya kosha and Anandamaya kosha.
2. Curriculum
A design that addresses the child's thinking, willing and feeling realms and strengthens his koshas. We have a fine blend of learning drawn from the past and from contemporary subjects to help a child blossom into a fully rounded personality.
3. Character building
We will draw from time tested stories and lessons in Ramayana, Mahabharata, Bhagavat Purana, Panchatantra etc, in an age appropriate manner and weave it finely into our curriculum throughout the child’s formal education years. We will strive to develop the intellect of a child such that he is able to distinguish between the ‘correct’ & the ‘convenient’ and develops courage to choose the ‘correct’ over the ‘convenient’.
4. Pedagogy
Life Integrated Learning - Education that is disconnected from life disconnects from life. Our attempt is to connect education back to life. Willing, Feeling and Thinking - We plan to achieve depth of knowledge and holistic development of the child by engaging all these three dimensions in an age-appropriate way. Near to Far approach - A tree that has developed deep roots can withstand strong winds.We want all our children to develop strong roots by enriching the curriculum with local culture, helping them be close to mother earth, expose them to rich Indian heritage, enabling to see themselves in the context of the world.
