Heritage Beku presents Smt. Archana Unnikrishnan, a Kuchipudi artiste & heritage conservation architect whose love for India’s cultural heritage finds expression both in her profession & through dance. Trained in Bharatanatyam & Mohiniyattam as well, she has found a special home in Kuchipudi, pursuing the art form under the guidance of Guru Smt. Rekha Satish of Nruthyankura Foundation.

Her recital moves from the auspicious invocation of Brahmanjali to the message of universal oneness in Brahmam Okate. Durga Tarangam brings the triumph of Goddess Durga alive through expressive storytelling & movements on the iconic brass-plate, before concluding with Adivo Alladivo, a tribute to Lord Venkateswara & the sacred hills of Tirumala.
4 pieces, each with its own story, come together in a celebration of devotion, rhythm & the living beauty of Kuchipudi.

October ‘26 begins with stories from our Puranas, brought alive through Bharatanatyam. 🌿

Heritage Beku presents K*m.Vindhya B.R., a Doordarshan-graded Bharatanatyam artiste trained in the Thanjavur tradition under eminent Guru Revathi Narasimha since the age of 5.

With performances across India & abroad, including the Mysuru Dasara, Chidambaram Natyanjali & Kinkini Nrityotsava, she is known for her precise technique, expressive abhinaya & soulful stage presence. She is also a recipient of the Yuva Prathibhe Award, Aryabhata Award & Nritya Jyoti Puraskar.

Her presentation opens with a Ganesha Stuthi, bringing alive the delightful tale of how Ganesha outwitted Ravana & protected the sacred Atma Linga. The journey then moves to the story of Meenakshi and Sundareshwara, before culminating in the tender Jagadodharana Devaranama, where the cosmic Krishna meets the intimate world of Yashoda’s love.

Heritage Beku presents Samyukta S. Iengar in Hari Bhakthi, a Bharatanatyam recital celebrating the divine worlds of Sri Krishna & Sri Rama.

A disciple of Karnataka Kalashree Guru Dr. Sathyanarayana Raju at Samskruthi – The Temple of Art since 2010, she has grown into an accomplished Bharatanatyam artiste, completed her Arangetram in 2019. Trained in both nritta & abhinaya, she has performed at renowned temples, sabhas & festivals across India, including Udupi Sri Krishna Matha, Tirupati Nadanirajanam, Mysuru Dasara & the Delhi International Arts Festival.

In Hari Bhakthi, stories, virtues & the timeless charm of Krishna & Rama unfold through a vibrant interplay of nritta, nritya & abhinaya, an offering where devotion becomes movement.

Heritage Beku presents a Kuchipudi recital by the Narthanam School of Kuchipudi, founded and led by Bengaluru-based artiste, teacher and choreographer Swetha Prasanna.

With 3 decades of dedicated practice, Swetha is a disciple of Sri Uday Renuka and Smt. Manju Bhargavi, a B-High Grade Doordarshan artiste & an empanelled S**C MACAY artiste. Through Narthanam, she continues to nurture the next generation of Kuchipudi dancers while keeping its classical grammar and expressive spirit alive.

This Sunday, her students present Kuchipudi Natyathorana, a lively recital woven through devotion, storytelling & rhythm.

The presentation features Ganesh Kauthvam, Mandooka Shabdam, Pravesha Daruvu & Tarangam, bringing together the distinctive grace, energy & theatricality of Kuchipudi.

Heritage Beku presents Team Natanam, the performing wing of Natanam Foundation, Bengaluru, founded in 1994 under the artistic direction of Vidushi S. Vidya Murali. Led by Krupa Ramachandran, the team is known for its precision, synchronisation & striking visual geometry, bringing together classical technique with an energetic stage presence.

With performances across India, including the Republic Day Parade at Kartavya Path, New Delhi, Team Natanam brings a vibrant Bharatanatyam presentation exploring devotion, mythology, nature, rhythm & the origins of Natya.

From the auspicious Shri Vignarajam Bhaje & the story of the Nāṭyaveda, through Krishna’s Muralidhara Kauthvam, the rain-filled Amṛta Varṣiṇi, a spirited tribute to Shiva, Tillana & playful Hameer Kalyani, the presentation concludes with Bhumi Mangalam, an offering to the earth and the five elements.

Heritage Beku presents Dr. Honey Unnikrishnan, a Doordarshan-graded Mohiniyattam artiste & dedicated teacher, trained under gurus Dr. Neena Prasad & Smt. Prameela Unnikrishnan. With years of performance across India, including Chidambaram Natyanjali, Khajuraho Dance Festival, Nishagandhi & Margazhi festivals, Honey brings to the Bandstand a deeply rooted & expressive practice of this beautiful Kerala tradition. She is also the recipient of the Guru Debaprasad Yuva Pratibha Samman (2024).

Her presentation traces the graceful journey of the Mohiniyattam margam, opening with the auspicious Cholkettu, followed by Jathiswaram, Shiva Panchakshari & a vibrant Dhanashree Thillana.

Heritage Beku presents a Saraswati Veena recital by K*m. Lahari Bhat & K*m. Sunidhi Arakere, disciples of Vidushi Smt. Mala Venkatesh.

Both artistes have spent over a decade immersed in the Veena. Lahari, who also trains in Bharatanatyam has received recognition at state & national levels, including the World Carnatic Music Champion title in Veena (2021). Sunidhi, a Sangeet Vibhakar diploma holder has performed extensively in Dwandva Veena, Veena Traya and Panchaveena concerts across several prestigious platforms.

Together, they bring a selection of much-loved Carnatic compositions to the Bandstand, accompanied by Vidwan Betta Mukund on the Mridangam

Heritage Beku presents K*m. Sravani Gundumalla and K*m. Eesha Plakkal, disciples of Guru Rekha Satish & members of the Nrutyankura Ensemble for a morning of storytelling, rhythm & expressive Kuchipudi.

Having trained in Kuchipudi for over 11 years, they have performed across prestigious platforms including the Malaysia Shirdi Sai Mandir, Bekal Gokulam Goushala, Kadambari Utsav, Trayambakam Dance Festival & Nritya Navaratri Utsav, Mysuru.

Their presentation brings together four facets of Kuchipudi: the joyous Ananda Narthana Ganapati, the powerful Shivashtakam, the fascinating story of Mandodari & the beautiful Neelamegha Tarangam, featuring the intricate brass-plate dance dedicated to Lord Krishna.

Our Heritage Beku founder Priya Chetty-Rajagopal who is on the Advisory Council of Common Purpose is delighted that Common Purpose has partnered with Earthshot Prize to deliver the Generation Earthshot for youth 18-30 years at Mumbai in November this year.
