FIGSI STONA

FIGSI STONA Federation of Indian Granite and Stone Industry (FIGSI) is an all India body with about 1,500 members. It serves as the voice of the Indian stone industry.

The history of the association can be traced back to the year 1983, wherein it was felt that the problems of the quarrying, processing and exports need to be addressed. The following founder members unanimously resolved to form an Association by name of “All India Granites & Stone Association” and also take the necessary action to register the above association with the Registrar of Societies in Karnataka, Bangalore under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act, 1960.

Successful and productive participation at Bharat Buildcon 2026! FIGSI was proud to participate in one of India's leading building and construction exhibitions, engaging with architects, builders, developers, contractors, infrastructure professionals, policymakers, and industry stakeholders from across the country.

The event provided an excellent platform to showcase the strength, versatility, and sustainability of Indian natural stone, while highlighting the significant role it continues to play in shaping modern built environments.

We thank everyone who visited the FIGSI stand, shared their insights, explored collaboration opportunities, and expressed interest in the future of the stone industry. The enthusiasm and engagement reaffirm the growing importance of natural stone in contemporary architecture, construction, and infrastructure development.

We were also delighted to introduce visitors to STONA 2027, India's flagship international granite and stone exhibition, and look forward to welcoming the global stone fraternity to Bengaluru.

June 21, 2026, marks a momentous milestone as the Federation of Indian Granite & Stone Industry (FIGSI) celebrates its 43rd Anniversary!

Established on June 21, 1983 (registered first as AIGSA and later changed to FIGSI), FIGSI has spent over four decades serving, growing, and elevating the Indian natural stone sector on both a national and global stage. From the raw strength of our quarries to the refined elegance of finished architectural marvels, we take pride in supporting the artisans, exporters, and entrepreneurs who move this industry forward.

Thank you to all our members, partners, and stakeholders for being an integral part of this incredible journey. Here’s to many more years of strength, unity, and solid progress!
