Action Child Aid is a Charitable Trust registered under the Indian Trusts Act of 1882. We believe, that the biggest change does not come from trying to improve the entire world. We would rather make a world of difference in the life of an individual. The best way to do this for the children is by giving them access to education and a safe and healthy childhood. Therefore we support schools, educat
ion centers and orphanages. We also manage sponsorships for children in the urban slum areas. We are a non-profit development organisation, independent of any religious or political interests. Our values are based on the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. Action Child Aid was founded by trustees Gurudev Goud and Venkat Dabara in March 2015. Action Child Aid in India is an independent organisation governed by Indians, but has a strong partnership with Action Child Aid in Denmark through a Memorandum of Understanding. Historically Action Child Aid Denmark originates from the Abbé Pierre inspired grassroots movement, who supported Mother Teresa’s work in Kolkata. Since then the organisation has evolved and is now an independent non-profit organisation collaborating with several grassroots organizations in India. Action Child Aid strives to help the children of India build their own foundation for a better future.
