Bengaluru: A 21-year-old BTech student allegedly recorded videos of girls inside a ladies washroom at a private engineering college in Kumbalgodu on Mysuru Road in Bengaluru, Karnataka. He was caught by one of the girls when the latter noticed a mobile phone near a cubicle and screamed in horror. The police have identified the accused as a seventh-semester student of computer science at the same college at Bengaluru's outskirts. Hearing the girl's scream, other students gathered inside the washroom, and confronted the accused.

Today, in honour of the 55th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Men's moon landing, NASA is celebrating. To mark this occasion, WAVF, an NGO dedicated to privacy protection, is sharing a quote from the book titled "YOU ARE BEING SECRETLY WATCHED with Model Law on Privacy." Although the government claims to uphold the right to privacy of humans as a fundamental right and one of the most significant and internationally recognised human rights, it is important to question whether the government's space agency would adhere to the same principles if they discovered humans on another planet.

Privacy & Obscenity are the terms not yet categorically defined in the Law.

It has been alleged that a minor girl was r***d in a cafe in Sangli after being administered narcotic drugs through her food. It was also alleged that she was filmed obscenely without her consent, and a case has been registered at the police station. In response, a social organization in Sangli staged a strong protest by vandalizing three cafes. This incident involves the crime of vo**urism against a minor girl. Consequently, the Sangli district edition of the Daily Padhari newspaper has published the opinion of the director of WAVF Mr. Dhyananjay Madwanna, regarding this incident from the perspective of privacy, obscenity, and vo**urism laws.

WAVF World Anti Voyeurism Forum is a non-profit and non-governmental organisation based in India. We are working for the protection of the privacy of individuals and protection against offence of Voyeurism. Our mission is to raise awareness of privacy threats and provide legal, psychological and technical support to the sufferers. Furthermore, we are working on law reform on privacy issues. Our organisation has conducted extensive research and drafted a comprehensive privacy-protection bill that can serve as a model law for countries worldwide. In addition to this, WAVF works as a certification agency. This channel aims to provide information about our NGO activities, law reform and privacy issues.
