Happy Light Project

Happy Light Project Happy Light Project is a non-profit organisation that seeks to bring light and happiness into the lives of the underprivileged.

The Happy Light Project is working on a rural electrification and poverty alleviation project for Gotiguda, a small village in the Raygada district of Odisha, India. The villagers of Gotiguda are skilled artisans who depend on making and selling Dokhra metal crafts for their livelihood. However, bright light is needed to work on their fine crafts and in the absence of electricity and lighting, t

he villagers are unable to produce enough and thus lead impoverished lives. Through a crowdfunding campaign, the Happy Light Project is mobilizing funds to set-up a solar energy micro-grid in Gotiguda. The villagers will also be provided lighting points and a polishing machine which can help them increase the value of their products. Access to electricity and lighting can make a world of difference. It will help the villagers work longer, produce more and earn more. Reduced kerosene usage will lead to savings and better health. The lighting will enable their children to study. In short, electricity will transform their lives. Donate now and help light up the lives of the villagers of Gotiguda.
