We aim to get underprivileged girls out of the cycle of poverty and into employment by providing the skills needed to succeed in and out of the workplace.

Under the Right to Education (RTE) Act, passed in 2009 by Government of India, a free and compulsory education is guaranteed for all children aged between 6 and 14, and the most recent figures for primary school enrollment stand at an impressive-sounding 98%. However girls and marginalized groups such as the very poor and the disabled, are often left behind. While girls attend primary school in ro

ughly equal numbers to boys, the gap widens as they get older and are forced to drop out to help with work at home, outside or get married. Of the "out-of-school children", one survey reported that about 62% were girls; they make up two-thirds of all illiterate 15 to 24-year-old's. This is the target group for Avasar to extend support for education up to employment

Parent Engagement

Empowering Parents, Enriching Children: Avasar’s Literacy Course Begins!
Across all our Avasar Preschools, we have officially launched the Literacy Course for parents. Since concepts like phonics, family words, and concept words were not part of earlier learning systems, this program has been designed to empower parents with the knowledge they need to support their children at home. Parents were extremely excited to learn new concepts and thoroughly enjoyed the interactive session filled with fun games and engaging activities. Their enthusiasm made the entire session lively and memorable.

This 8-hour program, conducted every Friday for one hour, aims to make learning enjoyable, practical, and consistent through hands-on activities and meaningful home reinforcement. The joy of discovering new ways to help their children was clearly visible on every parent’s face. Our teachers truly appreciated the energy, dedication, and positive spirit shown by all the parents. It was indeed a beautiful beginning to a journey of shared learning and partnership.

Our LKG students participated in a joyful Storytelling Competition, where each child learned a story at home and prepared simple props along with their parents. The activity encouraged children to sit with their parents, explore creativity, and practise presenting confidently in front of their classmates. It was a wonderful opportunity for little ones to express themselves and showcase their storytelling talent.

The main intention behind this event was to strengthen the bond between parents and children, helping them spend meaningful time together while building a routine for learning at home. This collaborative effort not only supported the child’s development but also helped parents understand and engage in their child’s early learning journey. The children excelled in presenting their stories, and everyone truly enjoyed this heartwarming activity.

At Avasar Preschool, our LKG children had a delightful time participating in the Fancy Dress Competition. Each child showcased their creativity and charm, making the event lively and memorable.
