Gratitude from Team BSLA 🙏⚽

Sometimes, the biggest support comes at just the right moment.

When the Bangalore Sports Lovers Association (BSLA) was searching for the final team to complete our Old Is Gold Veterans Football Tournament, Pastor SahayRaj stepped forward without hesitation and immediately registered his team to support this noble cause.

His kindness did not stop with participation in the tournament.

After the event, Pastor SahayRaj informed us that he would soon be visiting Desire Society along with members of his church to extend support and love to the HIV-positive children under their care.

This is exactly what BSLA believes in—using the beautiful game of football to inspire compassion, build communities, and create meaningful social impact.

We sincerely thank Pastor SahayRaj, his team, and his church for embracing this cause with such generosity and commitment.

Together, we are proving that football is more than a game—it is a force for hope and humanity.

🔴 সায়নী দাস। সপ্তসিন্ধু জয়ের স্বপ্ন পূর্ণ হতে চলেছে। আজ যাচ্ছে জাপানের সুগারো স্ট্রেইট চ্যানেল জয়ের জন্য। ইংলিশ চ্যানেল জয় দিয়ে শুরু হয়েছিল। তারপরে অনেক লড়াই লড়তে হয়েছে সায়নী ও ওর বাবা রাধেশ্যাম দা ও রুপালী বৌদিকে। লড়াইটা অসম ছিল। তবুও শেষ অবধি রাষ্ট্রপতি পদকও জুটেছে। আসলে লড়াইতে পাশেও দাঁড়িয়েছিলেন কিছু শুভাকাঙ্ক্ষী। শেষ অবধি জয়ের দোরগোড়ায় এসে পৌঁছাতে পেরেছে সায়নী ও তার পরিবার।
🔴 যেভাবেই হোক সায়নী ও তার পরিবার আমাদের চকদিগনগর স্পোর্টস ভিলেজ পরিবারের সাথে জুড়ে গিয়েছে। আজ স্পোর্টস ভিলেজে যে স্যুইমিং পুল, সেটা শুধুমাত্র রাধেশ্যাম দা'র অদম্য জেদের কারণেই হয়েছে। লকডাউন চলাকালীন আমার অনিচ্ছা থাকলেও বলা চলে জোর করেই স্যুইমিং পুল করাতে বাধ্য করেছিলেন। স্যুইমিং, ফিন স্যুইমিং সম্পর্কে বিন্দুমাত্র ধারণা ছিল না। আজ স্যুইমিং, ফিন স্যুইমিং এসোসিয়েশনের সাথে আমাদের যুক্ত হওয়া, পরিচিতি সবটাই সায়নী ও তার পরিবারের জন্য।
🔴 আমরা, আমাদের খেলোয়াড়েরা অনুপ্রেরণা পেয়েছি তাদের থেকে। যখনই ডেকেছি, ছুটে এসেছেন স্পোর্টস ভিলেজে। অসুস্থ থাকায় এবার দেখাও করা সম্ভব হল না। ভালভাবে জয় করে ফিরে আসুক। শুভেচ্ছা রইল।

🔴 Sayani Das is on the verge of fulfilling the dream of conquering the prestigious Oceans Seven. Today, she leaves for Japan to take on the challenging Tsugaru Strait. Her remarkable journey began with a successful crossing of the English Channel, but the road since then has been anything but easy. Sayani, along with her father Radheshyam Das and her mother Rupali Das, has fought an uphill battle with unwavering determination. Their perseverance has been recognized with the President's Medal, a testament to their relentless hard work and the support of many well-wishers who stood by them. Today, they stand at the threshold of yet another historic achievement.

🔴 In one way or another, Sayani and her family have become an inseparable part of the Chakdighirnagar Sports Village family. The swimming pool at the Sports Village exists today largely because of Radheshyam Da's extraordinary determination. During the lockdown, despite my initial hesitation, he persistently encouraged and ultimately convinced us to build it. At that time, we had little understanding of competitive swimming or fin swimming. Today, our association and growing recognition in both swimming and fin swimming are all thanks to Sayani and her family.

🔴 They have been a constant source of inspiration for us and for our athletes. Whenever we invited them, they always made time to visit the Sports Village and encourage our young sportspersons. Unfortunately, due to ill health, I could not meet them this time before their departure. I sincerely pray that Sayani conquers the Tsugaru Strait successfully and returns home with yet another glorious victory.

Our heartfelt best wishes are with you, Sayani. Make India proud once again!
