Life Trustee:
Deepa Narayanan Sashindran a fine versatile artiste of the Kuchipudi dance style of this generation mastered the art form close to 4 decades initially under only Guru the renowned Kuchipudi exponent Smt. Manju Barggavee since the age of 8 including being her first disciple to do Kuchipudi Rangapravesham . Born and Raised in Bangalore became the first Kuchipudi Artiste from Second generation carrying the Legacy of Late Guru Vempati Chinna Satyam in Karnataka. Later explored new choreographies (Portrayal of Draupadi Character in Agnijyotsna dance ballet & few solo repertoires) under Late Guru Vempati Ravi Shankar (Son of Late Guru Vempati Chinna Satyam) and ever since continuing to strive independently to explore the finer nuances of creativity in the art form. She is a thinking Artist with creative organizational abilities and has received lot of accolades for her vivacious dance technique, spellbound performances not only in India but was also invited in the year 2003 to the First International Kuchipudi Dance Conference as panelist cm Performer at Houston and performances in North Americas, Doha, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and at Bahrain for 70th India Independence festival of India by Central Ministry of Culture. Having performed extensively her natural charm for the Kuchipudi idiom sets her apart as an offbeat artiste of the generation. Currently donning multiple roles, she has carved a niche with Brilliant and Original choreographic works that includes authentic numerous Solo repertoires, Features and Dance dramas (Shivaleela, Dakshayagnam, Jayadeva Dashavatharam, Agnijyotsna, PanchaNayikas, Sri Venkatadri Vaibhavam(Annamacharya TTD Project),Nadhi, Nandanar Charitam so forth. Kuchipudi Parampara Foundation, Bangalore a Non profit trust that she founded with eminent advisory committee to propagate Indian art forms is fully engaged in teaching aspirants In India, Europe,Russia, USA, Australia, South Korea,UAE and South Africa and has been empanelled with Central Ministry of Culture for festivals of India Abroad, Empanelled artist of International art organisation Spicmacay, Recognised by Kannada & Culture Govt of Karnataka. Assisted Chairperson Kuchipudi Textbook Commitee Govt of Karnataka, co-opted member of Karnataka Nrithyakala Parishath, Interim faculty at Alliance University of performing arts, Examiner for MA Kuchipudi at Reva University of performing arts. She was bestowed with International Women achievers award by Gardencity University apart from numerous recognitions. Deepa is also an Professional degree Law Graduate, Human Resources Transformation Mentor who served in start-ups that grew to be top corporate houses whose process and practices are benchmark in software industry, Entrepreneur & founder of human capital management services firm Karma Kreators that executed for top software brands for ten years which she relinquished to serve her passion Kuchipudi Art. She has also has taken up social responsibilities being a Rotarian. Her Family support includes spouse who is an Leader in Lifestyle Retail profession, Son pursuing Masters in Sports Management at Berlin, Germany and exposed to carnatic music , Daughter under graduate pursuing dance alongside.
