An update from TFA

This year, we are taking a pause from the annual Toto Awards across all categories.

The ways artists create, work, learn and connect are constantly evolving. We’re using this year to consider how TFA can respond to these changes and continue to make a difference to the artists we support.

While there will be no awards this year, we look forward to sharing more as we continue this process. Stay connected with TFA for updates.

TFA's production of Innocence, an adaptation of Franz Kafka's The Trial set in today's India, is returning for three more shows at the RANGASHANKARA on March 6 and 7. Written and directed by Anmol Vellani, this black comedy was supported by the Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan Bangalore. Tickets are available in BookMyShow: https://in.bookmyshow.com/plays/innocence/ET00485375

In her review of Innocence, Reema Gowalla says that the play "masterfully captures the essence of Kafka’s parody of the legal system" and must be watched "for its explicitness, immediate relevance and timeless value". https://theatreroom.medium.com/innocence-review-anmol-vellanis-unflinching-retelling-of-franz-kafka-s-the-trial-is-a-must-watch-43bdd8770fff

The play has also been extensively discussed by Joseph Owen in a scholarly essay in the UK journal, Law and Humanities: https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/17521483.2025.2573520
