Our community grows! 💕
And every new member brings an entire lifetime of stories and their own glow, making the Silver Surfers family shine so much brighter. 💛 ✨

Dinesh is a man who wears many hats—ophthalmologist, author, artist, photographer, radio host, indie-dog rescuer and more! Today, as he returns from the UK to make Goa his home, Dinesh joins us as a founding member of our Goa chapter. His contagious laughter and irrepressibly positive attitude ensure there is rarely a dull moment when he is around.

Meenakshi’s journey has taken her from microbiology and healthcare to jewellery design, art and entrepreneurship—and now, from Delhi to our growing Goa community. With a flower in her hair and a hop in her step, she brings warmth, creativity and a wonderful spirit of reinvention.

Flora has an enormous appetite for cooking, feeding people, dancing, living and learning. One of the youngest members of our community, she joins us from Bangalore, brings yet another vibrant decade into the Silver Surfers fold—and plenty of energy along with it!

They come from different worlds, but arrive with something deeply familiar: curiosity, warmth and the desire to build meaningful new friendships. Join us as we welcome our newbies! 💖

Some messages deserve to be read more than once…

Over the years, our page has become a window into life at Silver Surfers. You’ll see dance floors, holidays, theatre, mahjong tables, coffee catch-ups and plenty of laughter.

But every once in a while, we’d like to pause.

Because behind every get together, is something much stronger.

A person who found the courage to walk into a room alone.

A friendship that didn’t exist six months ago.

Someone who believed their best years were behind them… and discovered they weren’t.

This was one of the most heartfelt things we’ve ever shared, and reading it again today, twelve years into building this community, it feels even more true.

At Silver Surfers, we don’t celebrate full calendars.
We celebrate fuller lives.

So today, we’re bringing this letter back.

For those who have been with us for years.
For those who joined yesterday.
And for anyone who needs the reminder that life still has so much more to offer.

Over two wonderful afternoons, our members learnt the art of Mahjong—celebrating every small win, sharing plenty of laughter, and discovering that the best part of any workshop isn’t just what happens around the table.

Everyone, please do join us in congratulating our very own Silver Surfer Meena, who in her early 70s with team mates close to half her age, swept the table last Sunday!

She won 3 Singles and 3 Doubles Table Tennis matches—bringing home six victories and proving that passion, grit and a competitive spirit only get stronger with age.

This is a great reminder that champions aren’t defined by age—they’re defined by heart, determination and the courage to keep playing.
