Our five-part series on Understanding Menopause continues with its second session, focusing on the impact of different stages of Menopause on Mental Health.

In this session, we’ll look at the ways these changes influence emotional well-being, along with practical coping mechanisms to help navigate them.

Join us on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at 7 PM.

The session will be led by Dr. Mehak Segan, Gender and Reproductive Health Specialist, who will guide us through these shifts and offer actionable insights.

Taking forward our theme of Menopause for this year’s Maasika Mahotsav, we are coming up with a series of online sessions. Menopause can be quite taxing on a person’s physical and mental well-being and there’s not much discussion around its varied aspects.

In order to bridge that gap, Maasika Mahotsav— The Period Festival has planned a five-part series titled ‘Understanding Menopause’. Starting April 12, a series of expert talks will be organised every Sunday at 7pm to bust myths, break the stigma and start vital conversations.

Stay tuned for updates on individual sessions.

Innovation meets impact at MITU Foundation đŸŒ±đŸ”„
We were delighted to host Ashok Urs, whose innovative rocket stove has been making headlines for offering a practical alternative during the gas crisis.
At our MITU office, he conducted a live demo that was both insightful and delicious! Bringing along all the ingredients, he whipped up hot, crispy chilli bajjis in no time—showcasing not just efficiency, but the simplicity and sustainability of his solution.
Our volunteers thoroughly enjoyed the session—learning firsthand how small innovations can create big impact, and of course, relishing the fresh, piping hot bajjis! 😄
At MITU, we believe such grassroots innovations hold the key to a more sustainable and resilient future.

A day of pause, reflection, and rethinking at MITU Foundation. đŸŒ±
Our strategy discussion with trustees created space for unlearning, questioning, and forward thinking — revisiting what’s working, what needs to evolve, and how we continue to stay relevant to the communities we serve.
From sharpening our approach to deepening our impact, the conversation was rooted in clarity, intent, and collective ownership.
Moments like these remind us that meaningful change begins with honest dialogue and the willingness to adapt. 💙

Malleswaram Mighties Walk – A Women’s Day to Remember 💚
On International Women’s Day, something truly unusual and heartwarming happened.
from .blr curated a special “Walk to Meet the Malleswaram Mighties.”
A group of about 20 curious walkers visited 5–6 women from Malleswaram who are quietly creating impact in their own unique ways. I was deeply honoured to be included among these “Malleswaram Mighties.”
When the group arrived at our store, we welcomed them with a simple glass of refreshing lemon tea 🍋.
But more than the drink, we wanted them to experience sustainability in action.
They explored how small everyday choices — reusing, recycling, upcycling, and mindful consumption — can make a meaningful difference to our planet.
It wasn’t a lecture.
It was a conversation, a walk, and a shared moment of reflection.
Women supporting women.
Community learning together.
Sustainability experienced, not just spoken about.
A truly special Women’s Day celebration in the heart of Malleswaram.

When students speak with confidence and teachers echo the impact — we know the conversation has truly begun. đŸ’«

Our Period With Pride sessions are not just about menstrual health. They are about dignity, awareness, and breaking silence in classrooms.

From curious questions to confident voices, these testimonials remind us that informed students grow into empowered individuals — and supportive teachers make all the difference. 🌾
