This will give an opportunity for the volunteers to bring the village producers directly to consumers by reviving weekly "Santhe" Ragi Kana only provides platform for Handmaking People to facilitate without expecting any profit. All the producers participating in the Santhe or Baazar are verified by our volunteers team with strict guidlines against what they are claiming while selling. Any violation of such we will take strict action against those producers.

🥭 What are these marks on mangoes?

At Ragi Kana, many visitors had questions about the black marks and white mask-like patches seen on some mangoes. Are they chemicals? Are they safe to eat?

To clear these doubts, Nanjundswamy, who brings naturally grown mangoes from Honnahalli village, Ramanagara, explained that many of these marks are simply natural sap stains and surface blemishes that occur during the growth and harvesting process. They are often only skin-deep and do not affect the taste, quality, or safety of the fruit. Natural sap marks are common in traditional mango varieties.

It was a wonderful interaction where customers could directly connect with the farmer, understand the journey of their food, and learn how naturally grown produce may not always look "perfect" but can still be delicious and wholesome.

At Ragi Kana, we believe that conversations between growers and consumers help build trust, awareness, and appreciation for our farmers.
