Another incredible season with close to a thousand entries across our six categories and some truly fearless expressions pushing the envelope of creativity and taking things to a new level.

We're just blown away and full of excitement about what these amazing artists have in store for the world.

It was a great opportunity to have all the shortlisters in the same room to celebrate each other and catch a glimpse of the shortlisted work at the 2026 awards ceremony last evening at BIC, Bengaluru. It is always heartening to see artists, writers, photographers, filmmakers sharing space, sharing energies and jamming ideas and thoughts. More than anything else, having a good time!

To the 10 winners who took the awards - congratulations, enjoy and savour this moment! To those who didn't, and to the extended longlist, we hope to see you applying with more work next year. These are just the beginnings and you are all on your way to some groundbreaking things! Let's all stay in touch and collaborate on your next big idea.

A big thank you to the TFA trustees and team for getting things together through the season and for the awards evening.

The 2026 shortlists for the Toto Awards for Music are here!

Another absolutely crazy and extremely difficult task fulfilled by our jurors to choose the final four from the stunningly diverse and accomplished longlist this year!

Longlisters do not despair , it is commendable at the least, to have made it this far, come back next edition and being on the Longlist already finds you a place on Toto programming for the future and the Indian indie radar.

Shortlisters, this is big. Congratulations and look out for a message from TFA on your email ids for what's coming next!

Sounds from the Library 7 was all kinds of awesome with a gorgeous set of sublime music by and a high energy cracker of a time by .the.change and his cultural scoops that entertained and had our lovely audience in splits! All this tied together seamlessly by our second time host .

Thank you to all for attending and supporting this series and most of all to for holding space for new voices exploring new territory through their art.

AAAND HERE WE GO! Longlist 2026 for the Toto Awards for Music is here!

26 names for 2026 purely because of the insane number of great applications! Longlisters watch your email inboxes and those who didn't make it through, chin up and keep up the great work, do come back next year with new material because we are sure y'all will be putting out great music going forward.

A fully fantastic full house at the library yesterday that was treated to some great original music by s band and ! took the conversations with the artists into a wonderful flow that held the energy in the room and gave us some great insights into what makes our independent artistic communities mighty powerful and priceless.

Thanks everyone who came out and thanks to the artists, venue tech, and the team for making another great Sounds from the Library possible.

This is coming late but Sounds from the Library #5 was another great one with so much great music and sharing from the most unique artists and personalities that are and , not to mention our awesome interlocutor and as always the lovely crew at

Great to have new and old faces join us as always, and we look forward to hosting you with another set of incredible artists from our past Longlists at the BIC Library in December!

TOTO AWARDS 2026

Toto Funds the Arts (TFA) is now accepting submissions from young Indian musicians, writers, photographers and filmmakers for the 2026 Toto Awards.

Now in its 22nd year, the award honours originality, craft, and bold creative voices. Each award carries a cash prize of ₹60,000.

🎵 Music (2 awards)
🎬 Short Film (2 awards)
📷 Photography (2 awards)
✍ Creative Writing – English (2 awards)
🖋 Creative Writing – Kannada (1 award)

✅ Eligibility: Indian nationals aged 18–29
📅 Deadline: 30 September 2025
