Jhulan Jatra — A Celebration of Faith, Community & Childhood Memories 💛
Jhulan Purnima (Jhulan Jatra) celebrates the divine love and playful bond of Radha and Krishna, with beautifully decorated swings, devotion and togetherness.
For us Bengalis, Jhulan Jatra is more than a religious festival—it is a cherished childhood memory. ❤️
Today, for the first time, SBSF Bangalore celebrated Jhulan Jatra in Sarjapur Road, creating a beautiful community connect. For our children, it was a chance to experience a tradition they had never seen before; for us seniors, it was a precious opportunity to relive our childhood—collecting little contributions, sharing Bhujia-Bundiya (Bude) as prasad, followed by steaming Khichuri and Payesh.
A simple celebration, yet filled with faith, togetherness and memories that brought our childhood back to life. 🙏✨
