Scholarships for the Attakkalari Diploma in Movement Arts & Pedagogy are now available. Aspirants who have been offered a seat at the Attakkalari Diploma can now apply for these.

The Attakkalari Diploma in Movement Arts and Pedagogy is a one-year full-time intensive professional dance training programme for aspiring movement artists. The curriculum combines rigorous studio practice with critical engagement offering training modules in Kalaripayattu, Bharatnatyam, contemporary dance techniques, Ballet, fitness and body conditioning, pedagogy and other allied subjects. The programme is facilitated by expert faculties from across India and around the world to support participants in developing technical proficiency and a nuanced understanding towards movement arts.
Selection for the programme will happen via audition.

The SATYAM KALON Scholarship for Attakkalari Diploma in Movement Arts and Pedagogy 2026.

The Satyam Kalon Scholarship 2026 has been established to support ONE deserving candidate from India who is offered admission to the Attakkalari Diploma in Movement Arts and Pedagogy.

The scholarship provides a total support of INR 5,40,000, covering the full tuition fee for the programme and a stipend of INR 20,000 per month for one year.

If you have been offered admission to the Diploma programme, you can apply for the scholarship by following the application procedure detailed on our website.

Please ensure that your completed application form and all supporting documents are submitted by 15 August 2026, no later than 5PM.

The Inlaks-Attakkalari Dance Studentship 2026 is here!

​Attakkalari Centre for Movement Arts and the Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation seek to synergise their respective strengths and resources to focus on supporting an initiative that advances a common goal of providing internationally reputed training opportunities to talented and deserving youth who might otherwise be unable to access it.

​This year, the Inlaks-Attakkalari Dance Studentship 2026 will be awarded to TWO eligible candidates from India who are offered admission to the Attakkalari Diploma in Movement Arts and Pedagogy.

The scholarship for two candidates, amounting to INR 8,00,000/-, will cover the full tuition fees and provide a stipend of INR 1,00,000 for each candidate during the second-year apprenticeship.

New sessions of community classes are dropping soon. This season at Attakkalari, we have Hiphop and house dance sessions facilitated by Yash Nagesh, aka VIBESTER. These Hip-Hop and House dance classes are designed to introduce students to the core foundations, grooves, and cultural essence of both styles. In Hip-Hop, the focus is on rhythm, freestyle, and powerful movement, while House emphasizes footwork, flow, and connection to music. Each session includes warm-ups, technique drills, choreography, and freestyle practice to help students improve their skills and musical understanding. The goal of these classes is to make learning fun, engaging, and expressive while maintaining authenticity to the styles.

Yash, AKA “VIBESTER”, is a dance artist and instructor specialising in Hip-Hop and House dance styles.
Dancing for the past 12 years, he has been training students of different age groups and skill levels. He focuses on building strong foundations, musicality, and individual expression. His teaching approach blends technique with creativity, helping dancers grow both technically and artistically. His sessions seek to create an energetic and supportive environment where students can explore movement, build confidence, and develop their own unique style.
