Celebrated the joy of Ugadi at Surabhi Boys’ Home today! The day began at 5:00 AM with morning prayers, followed by a special ritual from 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM to welcome the New Year with colors, including an oil and turmeric bath. After the ritual, we performed a pooja, shared the significance of Ugadi with the children, and distributed neem leaves, jaggery, and prasad.

Today, a special session was held at Surabhi Boys’ Hostel to introduce the children to the grand Kumbh Mela being held in Prayag Raj. The session covered a variety of topics including the significance, history, and uniqueness of Kumbh Mela, why it is considered sacred, the mythological stories associated with it, and the different places and times when it is celebrated.

Tomorrow, all the children at Surabhi Boys’ Hostel will have the opportunity to take a ceremonial bath with the holy Ganga water brought from the Triveni Sangam by one of our staff members.

On 21st January, a tribute was held at Surabhi Prouda Boys’ Home to mark the 6th anniversary of Dr. Sri Sri Sri Shivakumar Swamiji. The children and staff offered flowers and heartfelt prayers to his portrait.

The event included talks by students and staff about Swamiji’s childhood, education, acceptance of sannyasa, and his remarkable contributions.
