Dr. Sreedhara K.C., Founder & Trustee of CAD MS Trust, was honored with selection by the Ministry of Social Justice, Government of India, as a distinguished representative from Karnataka at the 77th Republic Day Parade held in New Delhi. His nomination recognizes outstanding social service and leadership in working with historically marginalized communities, especially beggars and transgender persons, through the SMILE Project.

A key interaction was held with Dr. Virendra Kumar, Union Minister of Social Justice & Empowerment, in which strategies for strengthening the SMILE Project’s support and inclusion AYUSHMAN programs in Karnataka for Free Surgery for transgenders were shared.
