Free Health Check-up Camp: A Step Towards Community Well-Being

Rotary Bangalore Southwest organized a Free Health Check-up Camp for the local public and BBMP pourakarmikas. The camp included:

1. Blood Pressure and Sugar Level monitoring
2. Eye and Dental Check-ups
3. Orthopaedic consultations
4. Cervical and Breast Cancer screening

In collaboration with Bhagavan Mahaveer Vikalanga Sahyata Samiti (Jaipur Foot), artificial Jaipur Limbs were provided to 5 individuals, transforming lives with mobility and independence.

Through this initiative, we aim to support the health and well-being of our community while addressing critical healthcare needs.

On 4th August 2024, as part of our ongoing Annadana initiative, we provided healthy and nutritious food to cancer patients and their attendees at KIDWAI Institute of Oncology. This drive was generously sponsored by Arundhati, in honor of the Late Rtn. Capt. V.P. Iyer and Renu Iyer family.

Empowering Education through Dictionary Distribution and Competitions

Rotary Bangalore Southwest recently organized the distribution of English-Kannada-English dictionaries at the Govt. Schools of Jigani, Gowrenahalli, and Byagadadenahalli. Alongside this initiative, we also conducted essay and drawing competitions, encouraging students to express their creativity and improve their language skills. This effort is part of our commitment to supporting education and fostering a love for learning among young minds in our community.

We are pleased to announce the continuation of our Annadana initiative, a year-long effort to provide food to patients and visitors at KIDWAI Memorial Institute of Oncology.

Continuing this heartfelt mission, the fifth drive of our Annadana initiative took place on 2nd August 2024, sponsored by Rtn. Nanjaraje Urs and Family. Their compassion and support ensure that no one goes hungry while they are at the hospital. This is just the beginning, and we will keep hosting this initiative throughout the year, with different sponsors and volunteers stepping in to support the cause.

We are proud to announce the establishment of a state-of-the-art Computer Science, Mathematics, Social Science, and Robotics Lab at Govt. School, Balepete. This significant initiative was inaugurated by Shri Dinesh Gundu Rao, Honourable Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of Karnataka.

This lab is designed to provide students with hands-on experience in STEM education, helping them develop critical thinking skills, creativity, and a deeper understanding of these essential subjects. Commercial Washing Machine & Dryer Installed at BBMP Referral Hospital

Rotary Bangalore Southwest is proud to announce the installation of a 15 kg commercial washing machine and dryer at BBMP Referral Hospital (Maternity) in Banashankari 2nd Stage, Bangalore.

This 30-bedded hospital will now benefit from improved hygiene and efficiency, aiding maternal and child patients admitted for delivery and other procedures daily. We are committed to enhancing healthcare facilities and supporting our community's well-being.
