What appeared to be a routine ear infection was, in fact, a rare and potentially life-threatening Skull Base Osteomyelitis.
Following persistent ear discharge, hearing loss, severe pain, and facial paralysis, a detailed evaluation led to the correct diagnosis. Advanced skull base surgery successfully eradicated the infection, enabling the patient to recover without complications.
This case highlights the importance of early diagnosis, timely referral, and specialized Skull Base expertise in managing complex ear and skull base disorders.
