While children are on a school break, learning continues at Project SparkL ✨

We’re using this time to train our skills educators through online sessions—focusing on how to use effective skills to teach English and Kannada in simple, fun, and engaging ways for children, that brings learning alive in the classroom.

Because when educators grow, children thrive 💫

🌟Annual Day celebration 🌟

At Project SparkL, we recently celebrated our Annual Day — a special moment to pause, appreciate, and look ahead.

We felicitated our incredible Skills Educators and recognized their dedication with awards, celebrating the heart they put in, and impact they create every day. The day was filled with meaningful conversations, shared reflections, and a few snacks along the way. Most importantly, it gave us the chance to look back on our journey so far and thoughtfully plan the year ahead.

Grateful for the people who make this work meaningful. Here’s to another year of learning, growth, and impact. ✨

Why this age matters?

At Project SparkL, we're passionate about empowering children between the ages of 6-11, as these are the most pivotal years for learning and growth. It's during this stage that kids transition from learning to read to reading to learn, laying the groundwork for numeracy, literacy, confidence, and curiosity. If gaps in learning emerge during this period, they can have a lasting impact on self-belief, academic performance, and future opportunities. Timely intervention is crucial, as it enables children to stay engaged and motivated, preventing a lifetime of struggles. Our mission at Project SparkL is to bridge the learning gap, one child at a time, because every child deserves a fair start and the chance to shine ✨

🌟 Learning Spotlight: Discovering Shapes at Project SparkL🌟

Excitement in Math class as our children explored the world of shapes — circles, squares, triangles, rectangles, and more!

Even with limited resources, we focused on hands-on learning using simple materials to make the lesson engaging.
✨ Children spotted and drew shapes on paper
✨ They learnt the names of each shape
✨ They traced outlines and cut out shapes
✨ They sorted shapes into groups
✨ And most importantly, they learned by doing

Beyond the fun, this activity helped build important early skills.
✅Spatial awareness-- how shapes fit and relate to each other
✅Hand eye coordination -- improving fine motor skills through cutting and tracing
✅Early Math foundation -- recognize patterns, classifying objects, and learning basic geometry concepts

The best part was watching their faces light up as they recognised shapes around them — in the classroom, in their notebooks, even on each other’s outfits!

And today, they reminded us how far a little spark can go. 💛✨

We’re excited to share a wonderful milestone for Project SparkL! ✨

Project SparkL is now officially CSR-registered under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), Government of India. This recognition allows us to partner with companies and organizations that wish to make a meaningful impact through their CSR initiatives.

For us, this is more than just a certification — it’s an opportunity to expand our mission of empowering children from underserved communities, creating safe learning spaces, and building brighter futures.

A big thank you to everyone who has supported and believed in our work so far.
We’re just getting started ❤️

If your organization is looking for impactful CSR collaborations, we’d love to connect!

✨ Building Awareness ✨

We talk a lot about creating equal opportunities for children, but far less about the biases that quietly shapes how society sees those from low income backgrounds.

These are some of the common assumptions they face--

* that they are less capable

* that their families don't "try hard enough"

* that they are more likely to misbehave

* that they don't value education enough

* that their appearance reflects their character

* that their future potential is limited

* that their families are "broken"

* that they are dependent on charity

None of these are truths.
They are barriers, often invisible but deeply damaging.

At Project SparkL, we with to ensure that every child is seen for their strengths and potential, not the circumstances they were born into.

Let's build a culture that replaces --
assumptions with awareness
bias with understanding
judgment with empathy

Together, we can create a kinder community for every child. ✨
