Bengaluru is expected to witness major traffic disruptions today due to the swearing-in ceremony of Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar at Lok Bhavan.

📍 Areas affected (12 PM – 8 PM):
• Cubbon Road
• Race Course Road
• KR Circle
• BR Ambedkar Road
• Queen’s Junction
• Surrounding CBD stretches

🚗 Alternate routes:
Traffic is being diverted via Cunningham Road, Shivajinagar, and Anil Kumble Junction to ease congestion and support security arrangements.

⚠️ What commuters should expect:
• Heavy traffic congestion
• Longer travel times
• Barricades and controlled entry points
• Enhanced security checks across the city centre

With senior political leaders, ministers, and dignitaries attending the event, commuters are advised to plan their journeys in advance and allow extra travel time.

.bengaluru are champions again.

RCB captain Rajat Patidar dedicated the IPL trophy to the victims of the Bengaluru stampede that occurred during the team’s 2025 title celebrations.

Speaking after RCB’s latest championship win, Patidar said the trophy was for the 11 people who lost their lives in the crowd crush outside M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

The gesture comes as Bengaluru continues to remember one of the city’s most tragic sporting incidents.
