We're honoured to have Padma Shri Rani Machaiah, the celebrated custodian of Kodava folk culture, launch the Globalkulture Music Festival 2025! A Padma Shri awardee, former President of Karnataka Kodava Sahitya Academy, and founder of Kaveri Kala Vrinda, she's inspired generations with her passion for Ummathat dance, training over 10,000 women and keeping Kodagu's cultural pride alive. We're honored to have Padma Shri Somanna launch our Globalkulture Music Festival 2025! Padma Shri Somanna, Renowned Tribal Leader and Social Activist
Born on June 1, 1957, in Karnataka’s Jenu Kuruba community, Somanna is a devoted social worker and tribal rights activist. Once a bonded labourer, he transformed his life into a mission for justice and empowerment. In 1981, he co-founded the Budakattu Krushikara Sangha, advocating for land rights, education, and environmental conservation for tribal communities. Over four decades, he has helped secure land titles for hundreds of families and has actively fought against the displacement of tribal communities in and around Nagarhole National Park. Honoured with the Valmiki Award (2023) and the Padma Shri (2024), Somanna stands as a powerful symbol of resilience, dignity, and hope for India’s indigenous communities.

A real honor to meet Her Excellency Vasundhara Raje and present our breakthrough Air-to-Water Generation technology. It was a privilege to be in the company of Dr. , Founder and CEO of , and , Founder and President of Alchemy, whose leadership and support have been critical in advancing solutions that translate innovation into real, on-ground impact.

What resonated most was the shared conviction that women’s empowerment is central to Rajasthan’s—and India’s—growth. Water security sits at the heart of this agenda: when access to safe, reliable water is ensured, women gain time, health, dignity, and opportunity.
